She was crying the whole time, and when she hung up the phone, she looked at me and said, He didnt even remember his name. Thats the hurting part.
The official Army photo of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, 25, of Miami Gardens, Fla., who was killed on Oct. 4, 2017 in southwest Niger. (AFP PHOTO/Defense Department).
How is telling a widow, that her Special Operator Husband “knew what he was signing up for” disrespectful?
And he just happens to be black. See! We told you Trump is a racist.
In fairness, I have heard that same thing said with pride. These men and women KNOW what they’re signing up for - they have signed up to fight for and, if need be, die for their country. This is the reason they are to be held in such high esteem - they are selfless.
Anyone who thinks President Trump made this remark in a glib and dismissive fashion is just so full of Trump hatred that it controls any common sense they may possess.
Just what this nation needs . . . another Cindy Sheehan. She’ll no doubt be riding the circuit for the rest of Trump’s term. Probably even write a book and have a signing for three people (all related, of course).
Time to release the printed transcript of the call.
I don’t get that either. What’s disrespectful about what he said? It’s fact. I think it’s an honoring statement.
That mother is dishonoring her patriotic son and doing it for political reasons. Disgusting!
They searched for his body for four days before finding because it was not with the other three.
By the way, how many people were riding in that car anyway?
“...which Wilson said she heard via a speaker phone while riding in a car with the Johnson family.”
Hmm, a Rep riding around in their car? Doing speakerphone with POTUS? Hmm...
That is what I wondered too. Why is this disrespectful? His intent was obviously to convey the potential sacrifice that the people in the military sign on to.

Agree. I call it courageous. He was willing to face danger to defend our nation.
But there are some blacks and other liberals that want to do nothing but attack the president. That come before all else to so many of them.
Everyone in every branch of American military service today is a volunteer several times over. It is, or should be, a point of pride.
Sgt. La David T. Johnson is an American hero. May God bless his soul.
Right on point.
What? He didnt know what he was signing up for?
Same old racial political crap.....re-runs are the in thing now for demorats. If there’s a way to attack Trump they’ll be certain to take advantage of an communication on any event to do so.
Blacks are on a role to resist now.....and Obama’s assisting and operating highly in this resistance. And he’s still focused on NWO objectives via his foundation and visiting nation leaders over seas to encourage moving forward with that agenda.
Exactly. He was a Special Operator, not a Mess Sgt. When you live at the tip of the Spear, you are always prepared for an empty seat at the table.
