I have seen elsewhere that Trump also said the man was brave so what he meant - if he said it all - was (he ) “knew what he was signing up for” and did it anyway.

The mother and widow are understandably very emotional right now - easy for them to misunderstand what was said. And of course the Maxine Waters understudy, Wilson, jumped right on their confusion for her 15 minutes.

Correct. Just sticking with the US army here since there is a photo. I didn't want to expand the debate across all the services. We can branch out and talk about GDSE, SAD/SOG POOs, DSS, GSG9, KSK, GROM, SAS, NZSAS, Alpha Group, SEALS, etc etc etc, but didn't really want to go outside that. They're OAF of course.

Delta recruits mainly from Rangers IIRC, and even USMC Force Recon. Ran into them during Operation Freedom Eagle. Neat bunch of guys. Actually met a Selous Scout at MICC. Gave an intel briefing on asymmetric warfare and HUMINT ops during their bush war. Definitely an old operator. Even seen a few SEAL tridents on Delta operators. Go figure.
