At least she’s being honest with herself.

Parish served as a democrat for years but, as her East Texas community became more Republican, she made the switch.

Ahem.

What's the point of bringing up this ancient story (it's from October of last year!)?

I don't see the big deal, she thought Hillary was going to win, so she figured she would jump ahead of her next election (2018), and join the party that would help her get elected.

This lady will join whatever party will help her get elected. She ran as a DEM in 2010, then with Tea Party movement, she ran as a REP, and then, thinking Hillary would win, she switched back to DEM. She's an opportunistic politician, and will join whichever party is most likely to help her win her election.

Apparently, this person picks whichever party she thinks will give her the best chance for election, just like our dear departed Senator Arlen “Get Out of Jail Free” Spector.

We have a local Judge currently running for re-election who has all bases covered. He ran in, and won, both the Republican and Democrat primaries.

He won’t get my vote because one of his campaign workers attempted to open my door without my permission (fortunately for him, it was locked at the time).

“Apparently, this person picks whichever party she thinks will give her the best chance for election,”

A real mugwamp. Sits atop a fence with her mug on one side and her swamp on the other ready to switch at any instant.

In Austin, could a Republican candidate even be competitive?

I see no way of reconciling my Christian beliefs with the manner in which the Republican Party is conducting itself. That is why I feel compelled to stand up and come back to the Texas Democratic Party.”

So you'll switch to a party in which the words "women's health" mean "kill the baby"? Some Christian beliefs!

What faith would that be? Islam?

No, a faith in an all-powerful government that can rule over people rather than upholding our God-given rights and liberties.

A democrat who became a R to get elected now going back to a Democrat... or in other words, was always a democrat, and played the electorate for fools

Your Christian beliefs tell you infanticide is correct?

Not sure what branch of Christianity you follow, but it sure isn’t one based on biblical theology.
