Your too stupid and ignorant to understand global warming; just leave it to the “experts” who insist that “all” scientists agree it is a “human-caused” & “alarming” development.

I would say that was sarcasm if it was not essentially the opinion of people like the authors of that piece.

Science uses the scientific method.

Climate “science” uses computer models.

Computer models do not use the scientific method.

Computer models are the digital equivalent of reading chicken entrails.

Why do Left-wing minds grapple with the reality that reading digital chicken entrails is not science?

Our brains are capable of learning about previous ice ages, followed by warming, etc. More than once.

No internal combustion engines, then.

Our minds are capable of skepticism, when political motives are likely in “globull warming” movements.

Our minds are also capable of grasping the futility of trying to hold back major earth changes, since we have historic evidence of their massive power.

Big logic, and big statistics. Observed on this spinning mud ball, with neither a government grant or a PhD.

Because as adults, we outgrow fairy tales.

At least, some of us do.

Humans aren’t well-wired to act on complex statistical risks. ...Absolutely true. That's why actuaries get paid well, and many people don't buy insurance.

We put a lot more emphasis on the tangible present than the distant future. ...also true. Why worry about something that may not even happen in our great-grandchildren's lives?

...makes it particularly hard to grapple with something like climate change, where the biggest dangers are yet to come ....or, may not come at all. Or, may come, but in such a form that technology of 100 years in the future makes it, at worst, a mild inconvenience.

A low probability of a high risk, far into the future = no need for me to fund.

However, it's worth noting that the esteemed author...A professor at the University of California at San Diego’s School of Global Policy & Strategy and a co-director of the Initiative on Energy and Climate at the Brookings Institution ...has an extremely HIGH probability of a High Risk, right now. Namely, that people who aren't willing to be suckered by him, will cut off his funding and he might be forced to work for a living. So, he needs to ratchet up the rhetoric just as high, and as quickly, as possible.

Thank God we have Al Gore’s brain to do the scheming...er, I mean thinking for us.

He's the expert on risky schemes.

The emperor has no clothes.

I will believe that global warming exists when it actually gets warmer. It’s just the way my brain is wired.

Or it could just be the case for Anthropomorphic Climate Change is dubious at best... filled with decades of outrageous claims that have never come to pass.

Its hard to believe a few more parts per billion of plant food in the atmosphere is going to destroy an ever evolving and living system that has supported life for over 3 Billion years.

But, we’ve been keeping records for hundreds of years! That should explain what the last billions of years were like. The next billion too.

Houston is barely beginning to dry out from Hurricane Harvey, and Florida faces a massive rebuilding effort after the Irma catastrophe.

So why isn’t the public heeding scientists and demanding climate action by politicians that could help deal with these destructive extremes?

He starts with a basic logical falsity, a non-sequitur, and expects us to believe him?

Brains don’t make it hard to grapple with anything, and they’re not wired. Wired is for old radios. Brains are not hardware.
The article is stupid on all counts.

Our mental space has no practical limit, and our brains are not wired. Do I repeat myself? The article does.

Global Warming is measured by earth stations, one of which is on a farm I visit. The station used to be well away from any structures. Now, the farm is a cheese making facility, and has expanded. Closer and closer to the Global Warming measurement station. There is literally an air conditioner unit within about 30 feet of the sensor now.

Can you say Global AIR CONDITIONER Warming?
