Has it ever occurred to you that millions of us perhaps just dont want to pay a boatload more in Federal taxes?
February 1, 2016, sorry for the typo.
This and massive government regulations burdening U.S. businesses is why China is taking over the world and has all our industries and tech.
Itemized deductions is central planning by government. Agree or not?
How DARE you accuse me of being a “never Ttumper”!
I was supporting DJT all through the primaries when FR was dominated by Cruz-bots who were all too willing to dish out abuse.
That’s why I am feeling very betrayed by this smoke and mirrors tax-shift.
Or more precisely, tax-shaft(ing)
Oh trust me: for opposing this massive tax hike, I have been called every name on the planet. It isnt paranoia - just reality. But lets try this instead: instead of throwing out name calling against the author, tell me what in that article is false?
Lebash is a Trump-hater. I don’t trust him enough to take the time to pick apart his long, pathetic argument.
Are you deliberately being dense? Corporations pass on the taxes they pay to their customers. YOU pay Apple’s corporate taxes as part of the selling price of the iphone or ipad or laptop. Do you not realize that?
And why do you think it is okay to tax a person’s estate at 50% when they die after they paid taxes on everything when they earn it? Do you realize that the majority of people affected by this are small business owners and farmers?
Here is another reason to oppose this lie of a tax cut bill. Even National Review admitted in a piece today that Ryans and Bradys bill will incentivize states to hike property taxes even more.
Is that even after the standard deduction is doubled? Or did that get striped out of this bill?
Great. So corporations dont need a tax cut. Or are you dense? So Trump and the entire Ways And Means Committee is lying when they say this bill will slash corporate taxes, but we have to pay for that cut by eliminating deductions and therefore raising taxes on others? Maybe Paul Ryan should call you and have you be the media spokesman, since all this dust up is just a great big misunderstanding? The problem is, they are raising taxes regardless of how you want to frame and spin this.
Hand waving will get you no where. The author is 100% correct in this piece. I love Trump myself. I love him to pieces. I pray for him all the time. But this bill screws millions of us over.
What? Did you even read his piece? Or did you just leap into the your a whiner mantra?
Based on that calculator, my taxes will go up.
“Standard deduction” is doubled, but it no longer includes state and local income taxes or property taxes in excess of $10,000. (Mine are nearly $12K).
Plus there will no longer be personal exemptions—they are included in the doubled SD.
No, dont just say the entire premise. Thats akin to Hillary shouting at Trump during the debate with no evidence. The author even hyperlinked other articles in his piece that offer even more facts to support his claims. You, on the other hand, offer nothing.
The REAL problem is that the Senate has painted itself into a “revenue neutral” corner.
So they have no choice except to lower taxes on some while raising on others.
Just goes to show that today’s GOP really does not believe in supply side Reaganomics; nor does it believe that tax cuts for ALL would lead to a net increase in tax revenues.
Pathetic.
How much more material wealth do you want to be satisfied ?
“Hand waving will get you no where”
Geez, project much? I was very clear that I was expressing my opinion of the author’s credibility, nothing more. Yet you accused me of attacking everyone who is against the tax plan while I did nothing of the sort. You’re the one jumping up and down, waving his hands, and not accepting what is said by anyone who may not agree with you. I can’t even accept that you will pay more in taxes because you’re so emotionally distraught. Love of money will do that to you.
Take a pill, get some rest. You’ll feel better in the morning.
