Remember, Ms Learner has a history of using her government positions to further a LEFTist Progressive agenda BUT we are not supposed to hear about it. She used the power of the tax system and her position as an administrator of the same to suppress the rights of citizens to petition for redress of grievances (1st Amendment)! Now she wants her legal testimony sealed because it might irritate.
I thought she just pleaded the 5th. What was so inflammatory that she said?
18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law.
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
She’ll be very safe in a Federal Prison for the rest of her life -— solitary if necessary!!!
Wow, maybe you should have thought about that, Ms Lerner. You know, actions/consequences.
The downfall of the American Republic began when we abandoned the practice of Tar and Feathers.
Why?
Because THEY can handle the truth!...................
The whole country and the rights of everyone in it should be s**tcanned because this one person did what she did, under the self-assumed authority of the “greater good.”
OK, I say, then throw her ass in prison.
Too big to jail?
All the more reason to release it immediately.
L
Hmmmm....perhaps she should have considered the consequences BEFORE violating the civil rights of American citizens UNDER COLOR OF AUTHORITY, instead of doing whatever the eff she felt like and then pleading to be concealed from those consequences. If for no other reason that deterrence of future enablers of tyranny, her request should be denied. Probably should be published in an NYT ad paid for with tax dollars in fact.
If you can’t do the time....
With Ms Learners confession, “that members of her family, including young children, face death threats and a real risk of physical harm if her explanation of the tea party targeting scandal becomes public” means that she should already be the target of same.
I thought Jeffy Sessions pretty much gave her a pass.I’m sure he’ll make sure she’s protected.
We MUST retaliate......she MUST go to PRISON!!!!
W hat exactly in those papers would enrage the public?
In a day when our President has had to leave the White House in order to have any sort of assurance of confidentiality regarding his own discussions, it’s amazing to me that Lois Lerner somehow believes that her testimony would somehow remain secret forevermore. I guess the ship of state only leaks on one side. Ever wonder why that is, Ms. Lerner? Wouldn’t it be something if conservatives started behaving as you and your compatriots do.
I sincerely hope that she is losing sleep and is very afraid of the consequences of her actions.
Sorry Lois. Doesnt work that way.
You took the 5th before congress and now you sing.
How does that happen?
Her proposal is acceptable - her freedom in exchange for sealing of the testimony.
She didn’t help herself by coming across as an arrogant, untouchable bureaucrat during her testimony.
Put them both in protective custody ... federal prison.
