Former FBI Official: Halting Immigration Is ‘Not Who We Are,’ Americans Must ‘Adjust’ To Terrorism

Unless you completely halt all immigration from all countries you will never prevent a foreign terrorist from getting in. And even if you do you still have domestic terrorists.

We don’t need this creep telling us who we are.

I have to tell you, this thing that 0bama did and this particular phrase he used admonishing and scolding us or me or you "that's not who we are" was close to the top thing he did that personally offended me, and deeply. This is language you use when you are trying to get a preschooler to share a toy with another kid. I reject the premise, I reject the self-proclaimed ability or right of the speaker of that horrid phrase to think it applies to me. If the speaker thinks we are deplorables for our bigotry, I say this phrsaseology is no different.

What qualifies this idiot to tel us or anyone else "who we are"? Isn't that profiling?

What about who they are?

We are not morally obligated to commit national suicide by allowing millions of people into the nation who will take but not give - legally or illegally. This isn’t about national inclusiveness. We are, by many objective criteria, the most inclusive nation in the world. There are, however, limits.

One of those limits is reached when the safety of our citizens and the ability to live our lives in freedom is threatened. I’m tired of hearing comments like “you’ve got yours, and now you want to deny other people”. That’s a simplistic sentiment, and one could say the same about those who push immigration, legal and illegal, to supply cheaper labor for their businesses, or to supply voters to keep them in power. They are acting significantly more selfishly in supporting unbridled immigration than those who just want safe lives for their families, and feel that assimilation has not occurred in recent immigration waves.

I am not going to normalize that idiotic concept that we ‘have to get used to it’. Why? Immigration/migration (legal or otherwise) without assimilation is an invasion (or occupation). I do not want to see American cities morph into Deerborn Michigan as the new norm.

“not who we are.”

There have been a lot of people out there lately claiming to speak for "who we are."

Why are so many of them "former" government officials?

“It’s part of our Heritage to let people into our country who’s only goal is to kill us. Is that right?”

Heavens no! They will let you convert first, if you do not want to be killed.

As long as you have no problem with my open carry where ever I go Frank, since it’s American to support the 2nd Amendment and my right to protect myself and family.

Immigrants/migrants should abandon their old ways and adopt American ways. They left their culture because it was bad. They should not try to reestablish the old bad ways. Without learning English they will never fit in and prosper. And that goes double for their clothing. Dress like Americans not dark age serfs.

We need to halt ALL immigration for 20 to 40 years or we will loose our country. You are dead wrong about immigration.

It’s time for remedial education about the Constitution and renewed loyalty oaths.

We have way to much “legal” immigration too. That needs to stop for many decades.

“not who we are.” Former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI C. Frank Figliuzzi

Actually it is who we are.

But thank you for telling us "who you are" so we can round up you and your ilk, and put you somewhere where we can keep an eye on you, so you can no longer hurt anybody.

I think he knows the difference. He just wants the U.S. to legally admit more people who want to kill Americans (another example of admitting immigrants to do the jobs Americans don’t want to do).

It’s a little early to be filming Trump campaign ads for his 2020 re-election, but this will be an outstanding one.

halting immigration is “not who we are.

But controlling immigration used to be who we were. Before Teddy Kennedy’s “reforms” our immigration laws took into account how likely people would be to assimilate to become genuine Americans. That system worked out pretty well for us. Bringing in low-skilled, low-educated people from nations and cultures that have little or nothing in common with ours seems to be absurd. It’s not who we are.

I can’t understand some people’s thinking—or lack of it. It’s like trying to understand a space alien.

Here is a snippet from the essay he wrote, assigning the brains of the average Trump vote to the category 'soft target'.

Indeed, the power of social media to influence, recruit and radicalize across spectrums and ideologies is also part of our new normal, whether the soft target is a bike path in New York or the brains of Americans exposed to Russian propaganda before the 2016 presidential election. This aspect of our new normal comes with frustrating decentralization, difficult attribution, and challenging questions for all of us.
