Well, a long as Mar-A-Lago and the golf courses have a view of the oil rigs I won’t complain :-)

My bet is that California will make it impossible to get any sort of pipeline to shore or refinery.

Awesome......and then an a-hole judge will stop it long enough for the next a-hole libtard president.

Total energy independence will contribute much to the GDP by making our exports competitive. Plus export of oil/gas products.

States that whine and complain about the exploration should be embargoed by energy producing states.

“A coalition of more than 60 environmental groups denounced the plan, saying in a joint statement that it would impose “severe and unacceptable harm” to America’s oceans, coastal economies, public health and marine life. …”

It’s the agenda of the more than 60 “environmental groups” to inflict the utmost “severe and unacceptable harm” to this nation.

It’s a matter of National Security. It means no nation can blackmail us, and we know we have enough to supply us and our allies in a crunch.

Trump has to accomplish as much of his agenda as possible before November. He also needs to make it as airtight as possible if the worst should happen.

Get offshore drilling going full blast, then dare the Dems to interfere with it & dare them prior to the midterms.

“Mr. President, please, we can’t take it anymore, we can’t win any more like this, Mr. President, you’re driving us crazy, you’re winning too much, please Mr. President, not so much, and I’m going to say I’m sorry, we’re going to keep winning because we are going to make America great again!”

Much rather have drilling than those hideous, bird-killing, inefficient wind turbines.

They will change their tune when they find out about the high-paying jobs that will open up.

A more strategically valuable commodity than oil is our immense supply of LNG. A delivered barrel of LNG is readily available for immediate use while a barrel of crude oil will have to be processed for use by the receiver. LNG has a much larger market because of its environmentally friendly nature. The world will thirst for LNG.

You are absolutely correct. It is a political problem: To getting the necessary approvals from the State, County and City authorities.

It’s easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission and since some of those giant rigs are as big as a small city, they could simply declare themselves a sanctuary city and drill babe drill.

Less chance of an oil spill, too. They might not be as damaging as some people think, but they play hell with tourism
