Best response I ever heard to this argument about subsidizing dreamers was: "What about MY kids - they're dreamers too!"
They dream of going to college..they don't need to compete for seats in public colleges which will give preference to guaranteed tuition paid vs. hard-working families' abilities to scrape and save to get their kids better opportunities..
