You would have had to read until near the end. About the middle, he started to pivot toward telling the radical fems they need to heed the fact that the differences between men and women are real (gasp!), and that men are going to tire of being called "toxic" and "the problem".
Then he pivoted to a very significant (for a liberal) suggestion: give the righties their stupid wall and maybe the immigration debate can be moved forward. Heck, he says, maybe the libs will take over congress mid-wall and who knows what would become of it then?
Good post actually. Sure its not perfect, but the main point, that Men and Women are just... DIFFERENT, was well put. And coming from a gay person, while it might not sit well with most Freepers, DOES get some purchase on the other side.

I really have no idea what he means. The opinions of a sodomite on the topic of manhood are as worthwhile as the opinions of Bruce Jenner on the topic of womanhood.

But lobsters respond to anti-depressants as expected because they have the same serotonin circuits responding to perceived social status as us. That means dominance hierarchies are older than TREES, much less mammals.
Liberals’ communitarianism is contrary to basic biology for animals like us.

He writes from a liberal point of view. Of course. He’s a liberal. But he’s got a clearer analytical vision than most progressives do, and he sees the reality of the differences between two genders and he sees Trump’s cleverness in political positioning. All in all, a really good article. And if he can influence progressives to trade the wall for DACA, we get some win, though the wall without DACA would be even better.
I would have no idea what the latest orthodoxy from Brooklyn is. I thought it was a place to live if you couldn’t afford Manhattan.

I hope the straight male FReepers give this essay a chance. He’s telling the truth about maleness and sexuality and the hormonal component. It’s good perspective. Women should read it too.
Gay male relationships are what straight men would do with women if they could get away with it. More hookups. Yes, both straight and gay eventually long for a stable partner and home. The Joke about what lesbians or gays bring to a second date is very true about the sexes, which is why it’s funny.
Having had to be on adjusted hormones for years due to a brain tumor I can tell you that a LOT of moods and emotions and things are attributable to them. It is amazing. We are who we are. And I say vive le difference.
But I totally got what he was saying about maleness and agree with him.
