Hey there, radu!
It was a good day, but the sinuses are still behaving badly! I need some humidity as in rain! LOL! Clean this dusty air! It did cool down quite a bit overnight, but still got up to 70 this afternoon.
Hope all is well there. Is it still fairly good weather or has it chilled more? Did you get any snow or rain? Are any of your bulbs peeking out yet? Some of mine are...silly things!
Good evening, AlaskaErik...were you Air Force while getting your loadmaster training?
Working on your PADI cert had to help in the summer heat.
It sure WOULD be nice if you could get some rain. It’s got to be awful having such nasty, dusty air. YUCK!
Your 70 degrees do sound mighty nice though. LOL
We didn’t make it out of the 30s today but it’s supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow ..... with rain. We’ll see.
There are a few daffodils poking their leaves up here and there. They’re a little later than usual because it’s been so cold. It won’t be too much longer before they begin blooming and I’m looking forward to that!
Good evening, Pro...a nice Monday? Relaxing til work day?
Sleep tight, ML....
Good evening, Luv....I love those huge planes.
Good evening, radu...does your rainy weather look like it will really make it to you?
We have a 50/50 chance of snow. Not very good odds.
I’m looking forward to some green things, too. The back yard looks so brown and drab right now. Hubby planted some asparagus. Looking forward to seeing if it’ll grow here. He’s got it in a raised bed. Would be nice. We love the stuff!
Hope it starts to warm up for you! Know how tired you must be off the cold and the threat of snow. And then the kittehs and you can go out for some fresh air without freezing!
I do too. They have seen a lot of action and can take the heat! Loved watching them doing touch-n-go’s when we lived in GA and hubby was in the AF.
Hey there, Kathy.
Well, they said there’s a chance we’ll get a little bit of rain overnight and there IS something building up over MS and moving this way. A larger system is supposed to move in tomorrow afternoon, so maybe they’re right about that too.
There’s a large batch of stuff south of you and headed your way. You might get some snow after all. :-)
It’s pretty drab here, too, with brown grass and no leaves on trees. Some splashes of color will be reeeeeeeeally nice. Aunt Clara stuck daffodil bulbs willy-nilly around the yard and there are several varieties, each blooming at a slightly different time. We get a long-play showing of them once they get started.
Ooooo, YUM! Fresh asparagus! I hope yours grows. There was a large patch here when I moved here but Hubby mowed it down every year due to the weeds. That killed it off eventually. :-(
I’d love to be able to take Churchill outside to walk around a little so keep hoping for a warm day or two to crop up. He’s doing alright so far but I know his days are numbered. He goes in tomorrow for a blood draw for a kidney panel to see how things are holding up.
Oh, forgot ...... we’re on Hatch Watch at the Berry nest this week. Don’t know how closely you’ve kept up with them lately.
Been watching Raimis and Meldina sitting in a lovely snowfall in Latvia for a little while. Very pretty but it gives me the chills. LOL
Son was stationed there during Iraq war. Was deployed to Middle East twice. C-130 crew chief. Later transferred to Shepherd as an C-130 Instructor. He liked LRAFB very much. I visited twice and toured the base once and saw an airshow. Nice facility. More C130’s there than any other base. They are the workhorses of the Military. Son flew on the first C130 to land at Bagdad Airport after bombing. It was full of humanitarian supplies. He gave his old man a beautiful shadow box with the flag he took in with him along with signed certificate and his commendation and medals. It’s my prized possession which will return to him when I pass.
Today was like running in mud....the phone rang all day, and every job started was interrupted by something of importance. So nothing is done. I’m sure glad it is the off week. I need to get to a bit of homework here shortly.
I knew they were getting close to hatch time, but when I checked this morning, there was no action.
I need to check on Latvia. I saw them on the nest yesterday morning, which was just before sunset for them. The sun was pretty at that angle on their feathers.
Hope sweet Churchill gets a good report so he can see some more days outside for a walk.
Dang, you just can’t get a break, can you? You’re right that it’s good this is the off week. Had you had all the phone calls last Monday ..........
I hope tomorrow goes smoother!
