That's my recollection as well. We underestimate these people at our peril: they rebounded very well after Reagan and have every intention of doing so again after Trump.

I can think of no other reasonable explanation. Trump poses a clear and present danger to their plans. In fact, it's quite possible the elder Bush was forced on Reagan as a trojan horse that would later undo whatever Reagan was able to accomplish. If so, it worked to perfection.
You really blew it when you invaded Iraq. You destabilized the country, toppling a strong regime that kept the m*slims from blowing the place apart and killing everyone around. This allowed radical m*slims to gain strength, and, during bammy’s term, to form islamic state with bammy’s full tacit approval.
