A more accurate headline would be that the Washington ComPost tells the world to ignore Trump’s tweets. “Just listen to us, and we’ll lie our heads off about what Trump’s advisers say!”

Good point about the FDR fireside chats. Back in those days, most American families would crowd around the radio after dinner so FDR was reaching a mass audience unfiltered. There was no TV back then.

I wonder why no other president until Trump ever took this approach.

Also, while I appreciate the presidential tweets, nothing is stopping Trump from putting out more substantive communications such as YouTube videos or longform memos explaining his positions or thinking in more detail. He could link those to his Twitter feed as well.

I wish more of that was done too.

Trump IS the top US official. Any underling who disagrees with him is on shaky ground.

U.S. intelligence agencies. They say they will likely never be able to determine whether the Russian involvement swung the election toward Trump.

WHAT A LOAD OF BULLSHIT!!!

It's not THEIR JOB to determine if 'RUSSIA' swung the election. It's THEIR JOB to report on what is occurring.

Having worked for one of these alphabet agencies, if some honcho wants to put his or her name in lights and say that there was or was not Russian involvement that swung the election, then have at it. But you WILL NEVER SEE THAT COMMITMENT!!

I have believed the same thing for many years.
I also think a mandatory minimum two year shift will be a good thing for many of today’s young people. There are not many markers of age anymore if you really don’t want to wait.
This would be a message that at some point in your adolescence, you are now to be considered an adult.

After a short time, many parents would appreciate the law too, as it would force the lazy and the unfocused to leave the nest, at least for a two year period.

"This would be a message that at some point in your adolescence, you are now to be considered an adult."

Many of our young men are desperately in need of some kind of 'coming of age' marker.

By the way does anybody know how many wars are being fought now simultaneously? They can’t be serious when they talk about stopping Islamic terrorism when they are bringing in millions of Muslims into the United States.

It’s the oil, it’s the oil, it’s the oil!!!!

They (Europe) want oil and gas sources that do not come from Russian controlled areas because most of the pipelines come from Russia into Europe. That is perfidious Europe’s problem not ours. We got you out of World War I and World War II. If you want to fight Russia do it yourself!

The difference is in words. Trump speaks the truth, he says Russia didn’t affect the outcome of the election. Didn’t say they didn’t intervene. McMaster says they did intervene, but I don’t see where he says they were successful. This is just Trump haters and media trying to stir up something.

"...he “forgot” on Saturday to tell the Munich Security Conference that the results of the 2016 weren’t affected by Russian interference, a conclusion that is not supported by U.S. intelligence agencies. They say they will likely never be able to determine whether the Russian involvement swung the election toward Trump."

My gawd. The Post-heap doen't know that the Deputy Attorney General (Rosenstein) flat out said there was NO evidence of any American knowingly working with the indicted Russian trolls? Rosenstein also said it had NO impact on the election. Sheesh, are there no longer ANY unbiased news orgs. or reporters?

Of course there is Fox News with, Tucker, Hannity, Ingraham, etc. They all have their staff to research the latest issues. Those are investigative journalists. Those who Tweet (I don't), should post major kudos on the above pundit's sites for their staff.

The establishment hates the Trump tweets because now he can communicate directly to the American people with no filters. This is really unprecedented and the establishment simply does not know how to handle it other then feigning horror and disgust.

As I have said before, the establishment thrives on political correctness. President Trump dosen't give a rat's ass about pc. Thank God.

McMaster is a Deep State plant. Should not have been appointed.
The Deep State is hoping to stymie Trump and wait it out.

The draft let the “elites” know that, to survive, America must be a classless society.
