Attempted update...
I saw Sessions claiming that his recusal was the right decision because of some little technicality in force.
So, Sessions preens himself for complying with a small technicality thereby allowing in a monstrous assault on the administration which he pledged to support and on the life of the Republic he swore to defend.
I think he became a citizen in 2002, or thereabouts.
I agree. These pearl-clutching defeatists are very tiresome. Weakness and lack of resolve are never pretty.
All long as Sessions is AG nothing will happen..Nada!
Check the confirmation hearings transcript. Sessions did promise to recuse himself of all investigations connected to Hillary.
Trump needs to do more than suggest. He needs to meet with Nunes and organize an effort to appoint John Bolton as a Special Prosecutor.
Obama, Hillary, Lorretta Lynch,Holder, Rice, McMaster, Clapper, Brennan Comey, Mccabe, Jeff Sessions ( aider and abetter) and the whole lot of them need to be investigated.
And they need to be held to the law.
Treason is not a pretty thing. But Obama’ so called s transformative politics violated the constitution in many , many ways. Now Obama and his running dogs need to pay, especially because they are interfering with our government NOW, after the 2016 election. Get ‘em good.
If we do the same thing that the Russians do then why is Trump upset at Obama's inaction?
> Can you commit treason against a country if youre not a citizen?
That would be sabotage by a non-uniformed combattant. By the Geneve Convention, such can be summarily executed.
Obama did enough damage that deserves to be investigated and where appropriate, charges should be made. That said, we don't need Trump to direct the arrests of countless second and third-tier players. This would further cement the appearance of a banana republic, where one regime arrests members from the previous regime as retribution. That will not end well for anyone.
It may not appear as though Sessions is doing much, but that's for Trump to tell. If anything, I've learned that Trump has the big picture in mind, and he plays for big wins.
Our problem is that no replacement for Sleepy Sessions can get confirmed in the US Senate.
McConnell has stubbornly refused to return the the confirmation rules to a simple majority.
There are not 60 votes for anyone but Sessions, only because he was a senate colleague. Dems are quite pleased Sessions is doing nothing against Hillary, Fusion, etc. with investigations.
The Dems are holding up confirmation on several Trump nominees as we speak.
If Sessions really cared about recusals and doing the right thing, Sessions would have recused Rosenstein, who is now in charge of all Hillary connected investigations.
We are a banana republic if these criminals get away with treason and undermining the election process etc.
That "little technicality" is a fairly common sense conflict avoidance regulation. He can't be trusted to investigate the conduct of a campaign he was advising.
Either that rule applies, or it does not. Sessions contact with investigating the Trump campaign is similar to, but considerably more direct contact than McCabe had with Hillary; and it is ludicrous to think McCabe would be unbiased in handling of any investigation into her.
MB stated no crooks have been arrested. I think he’s right.
Yes, absolutely.
“He can’t be trusted to investigate the conduct of a campaign he was advising.”
So how can the FBI investigate the Trump campaign using the Hillary paid for hoax dossier?
Which is the greater conflict?
Why hasn’t Sessions gotten off his ass to attack that travesty? That travesty is not part of the campaign he supposedly advised.
