Yeah, Sumter. He lived in Ft. Worth and ran the record shop on Berry by TCU. Stephen was never around.
oops, Record Town was on S. University off of Berry. About half a block from The Cellar/Aardvark/whatever it is today.
Bruton’s mom is still alive and is selling it according to this:https://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/community/fort-worth/article199480699.html

I am a flight instructor again. I did this years ago and our gliding club was short on instructors. The other instructors ganged up on me and in effect said “you will do this again!” I am glad they did. It gives me purpose.
Took my check ride two weeks ago. Two hours after the check ride I was in the back seat of a glider teaching kids how to fly. It is great. I was not worried about the flying test as I have never stopped flying. I was really worried about the oral exam.
The FAA guy was good to me. Since I was an instructor in the past he did not legally need to give me the oral test but he did. He did this to find my weak areas on air law and give me guidance. The FAA guy was a good man. He is also a member of our club and we have frequently flown together. He knew my skills and the check ride was very easy.
It is fun to pass down skills to those that want to fly.
As this is a private club the instructors are paid the grand sum of zero. This is okay as I am now back in the game that I love.
Forgot to add this, I miss El Roy, Eaker, NY Texan, Ditz and all the others. We are all brothers and sisters. We are “La Familia de El Roy.”
Ron, Sonny, Son Dog had a record shop on Southern Blvd in Youngstown Ohio, He was always around , but now he is dead.
Taught me everything about music.
RIP Sonny, “In One Dog We Trust”

Trust the plan.
I ain’t red pilled. I ain’t blue pilled. I’m yellow pilled.
What’s the plan again? My head hurts.
Once again I just received a call from the Cherokee Village guy. He was in kind of a panic because there are so few reservations made for that weekend. I told him I’d once again put it out here and ask you guys to get off your butts and make those reservations. He’s really hurting because he has turned down several groups for that sane weekend.
*To those few who have reserved a house/cottage/room ~ thank you!*
Regrettably due to some unexpected bills I will be stuck in Kansas City comes the weekend of the shoot. Just once I would have liked to make 2 in a row.
Y’all have a great weekend I will miss seeing everybody but next year beckons and hope springs eternal, etc.
Have a great weekend and stay safe
alfa6 ;-)
I just paid his *** and put in for vacation the other week.

Is there a waffle house in the area :)
You did not talk to Scott, It had to be the old man, never met him, but spoke on the phone.
