Actually, the democrat party, the party of Jim Crow, separate but equal, poll taxes, and segregated schools hasn’t relinquished that title yet. The KKK has been the strong arm enforcers of the democrat party for 150 years.

How does the FCC allow them to keep their license? They are not news, they do nothing in the public interest.
Only broadcast stations are licensed by the FCC. Cable channels, like MSNBC, are not under FCC purview and do not require licenses.

There is nothing left of the old extreme Left that is extreme to the Left anymore.
It’s how a holdover from the Soviet Era useful idiot like Sanders can even be acceptable to them.
But I would not go with calling the Bolsheviks.
They are completely different than the Bolsheviks on two important aspects.
First they have been more like the Mensheviks: socialist, yes; communist, yes ... BUT the Mensheviks were like socialist willing to go through a process to reach their communism. They were still evil but they were not fools who wanted socialism NOW. Mensheviks wanted a golden goose before socialism rather than to start scrambling golden goose eggs NOW in the name of power, transformation and Revolution.
It is true that a growing number of our badly named “progressives” are decidedly among the idiots who demand socialism now. The Left cannot even hide them anymore to pretend that those are not they at their hearts.
BUT the second reason why the Left is not Bolshevik is even more damning.
They are Cultural Marxist.
They are wrapped up in an ideology designed to produce national, cultural and even civilizational suicide.
Real Bolsheviks, however evil they were and are, were not raving madmen focused on the end of their civilization. They wanted to survive and they were often singularly equipped to not horse around with anything that threatened survival of the nation as they understood it.
Many things our Cultural Marxist hoards embrace would have earned them a speedy ticket to Stalin’s gulags ... or maybe even a much quicker death.
They were designed by the REAL Marxist to be a fifth column to destroy us. They were not to rule with the socialist. They were to be cannon fodder, sheep driven across minefields, and then cast away.
They were to be madmen.
And so they are.
The Soviet Union fell but they continue as Mad, Mad Mensheviks stuck on stupid, a combination of self/cultural immolation and greed with ample lust for power ... but they perform their task to destroy and tear down for anyone now, even Muslims, or indeed for no one.
They are not Bolsheviks.
They are much, much worse.
