Apparently, you can be forced to buy health insurance. Did you forget about that one?
Very true. It is tyrannical to force us to buy that crap!
or pay a tax? totally unconstitutional to force us to buy anything. I don’t want all this environmental crap on my car!!
Yes he was representing refinery workers and the oil industry. The ethanol mandate needs to end, and end quickly. No nation should burn food for energy.
The regional & seasonal formulations are not nonsense. They may or may not cost too much — but, they are necessary.
Anyone with any common sense knows ethanol is a loser. Ted Cruz has nothing to do with it.
Cruz opposes ethanol subsidies and still won the IOWA caucuses. Cruz even proposed a 5-year phase-out to help with the transition.
Put down your Sierra club cup full of Kool-Aid and enlighten me. How are regional and seasonal formulations of gasoline “necessary” - and save me the EPA explanation; I’ve read it/them myself and it’s bullshit.
While you’re at it, please explain why the formulation for Floriston, CA, and Verdi, NV, two very small towns about 10 miles from one another, have different formulations. (I could give you hundreds of additional examples that are quite similar.)
RBOB and CBOB were implemented in 1970 under EPA’s first Administrator, William Ruckelshaus, the same progressive asshole who, after stating, “If we can ban something as ubiquitous as DDT, we can ban anything,” went on to ban DDT to save eaglets and the offspring of other raptors - which, to appropriate a Hillary term, has been totally debunked, as has virtually everything in “Silent Spring”. It didn’t do a damned thing to save any raptors, but the resulting increase in malaria managed to kill millions of children in Africa. (I thought liberals cared about kids in Africa...)
And, since I’m on the subject of raptors and grossly misinformed and misleading “environmentalists”, it’s interesting to note that nothing in history has managed to kill as many raptors in as short a period of time as Obama’s windmills - and I have hundreds of the damned things in my area. Out West, the victims include bald and golden eagles - thousands of them. Here in SW Pennsylvania, while there are a few bald eagles sliced and diced by windmills, among the thousands of dead bats, the people paid to pick up dead birds two to four times a week find hundreds of red-tailed hawks, cooper hawks, sharp-shinned hawks, kestrels, gyrfalcons, peregrines and others - yet another pretty sickening irony of modern environmentalism, which is nothing more than the hammer and sickle on a green background.
I suggest the bird gatherers take pictures of the dead birds and post them.
Lots of them already out there - see link.
One guy who’s paid to pick up dead birds three times a week told me he fills three or four five-gallon buckets with mostly bats every time he goes out, but eagles and large hawks go in bags.
Thanks for link. Interesting discussion about global warming. They disagree on the facts.
No Kool-Aid involved.
I don’t know about California; but, here in Canada, we need seasonal and regional blends. For instance, in the far north, where temps of 50 below aren’t uncommon, cars won’t run well (or at all) on summer blend. The winter blend includes lots of butane (among other thongs). You won’t find much butane in summer (or SoCal) blends. Took much of it would simply boil off from the fuel tank. Similarly, mountain blend is different from sea-level blend, because boiling points vary by air pressure.
Thongs = things.
Sheesh — must always spell-check auto-correct.
