Tariffs slow demand an cause layoffs everywhere but here.
I think he means that A. US consumers of steel will pay more and it will cost jobs in those sectors, just as it did in 2002. And. B. Other countries are likely to retaliate by placing tariff on US agricultural products.

Tariffs will benefit a few and make things much worse for everyone else. A trade war can make inflation really bad. Inflation is the biggest enemy of the “average Joe”.
Wake up folks. I support Trump whole heartedly but this is bad policy AND bad politics.
