I guess I was smarter than depending on computer programming skills. I was never in danger of being replaced by anyone on H1-B visa. Because my focus was on learning skills which the workers from India/China did not normally have. My skills were based on becoming proficient in applying computer technology to manufacturing processes.

It’s way past time those in this video were made an example of. Trump needs to make this video go viral in a tweet and call out congress. I watched a program on TV once where some Indians were getting their bachelor degrees. It looked like some of our work in fifth grade shop class. There are plenty of Freepers who have worked with some of these H1B’s and witnessed the lie about their skills.

H1-B visa is TEMPORARY. People who are admitted on that visa are productive, have a job, and pay all US taxes.

Many employers immediately start the Green Card process for the H1-B employees, which allows them permanent status, and then their kids born here get automatic citizenship. It's a scam on the American people. STEM skills of American students will never improve until this farce is greatly curtailed.

I have only known two.. both rabid Dems who take taxpayer money and benefits by the truckload. A little illegal activity to subsidize them.
One drives up to a Mercedes and presents Medicaid for her very healthy children.
These companies, including our government are tax evaders using foreign workers instead of your kids. They get a great deal on Employer rates though.

Yeah, the H1B situation is a real screwup. I think it started out OK, but over the years, it's become a way for companies to import workers who are stuck at the jobs (or else they are deported), and who effectively block the entry into the STEM workforce of American students. My son explained this to me in great detail after working a couple of years at an H1B oriented shop.

So whom do you prefer...

(1) 11 million low skills, low wealth, ILLEGALs -or-
(2) 30 million low skills, low wealth LEGAL chain immigrants on permanent status
(3) H1-B visa with computer skills, a job and maximum 65,000 visa’s issued in one year.

If the American employer feels the H1-B worker is worthwhile enough to apply for permanent status, that is their prerogative. Unless you oppose free enterprise system.

Keep in mind corporations exist to make a profit, not to hand out justice, and not for patriotic reasons. That is why all the big corporations set up shops in foreign lands, moving middle class jobs abroad.

I have no dog in this fight, because as I said, I was smart enough to learn skills not easily imported via H1-B visa’s.

But I am taking trouble to post to educate people like you in that the chain migration of 30 million low skills, low wealth people and the 11 million illegals who are also low skills, low wealth, is a MUCH BIGGER problem than the 65,000 maximum H1-B visa workers admitted in any one year.
