Thanks for posting that - fascinating. I just read some more about it.
We do not teach real history any more in college or high school - shocking how few Americans have a true understanding of why the founders made firearms the 2nd amendment.

The gun laws seem intractably set, despite growing public support to change them,...”
Astroturf and a big media push dont equal “growing support”.

Later on in the article it talks about how Gage probably would have lost the Battle of Bunker Hill if he had NOT seized the powder. The Americans ran out of powder during the battle.

we are just one Supreme Court vote away from a ruling that the RKBA is the right of the state to have a national Guard and not an individual right. Commie libs have been arguing that angle for at least a couple generations, but the last fourteen words of the 2nd Amendment;
"...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
keep tripping them up. Even the Supreme Court can't re-interpret that phrase to mean it's anything other than an individual right.
Now, they can try, but that would spark a second revolution.

From the linked article:
"I believe in the Second Amendment, there's a right to bear arms," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in February. Schumer is NOT the Senate Majority Leader and he is a liar.
To: Windflier
4 out of 9 ruled that the RKBA was NOT an individual right.

4 out of 9 ruled that the RKBA was NOT an individual right. I didn't say the Supreme Court couldnt rule incorrectly on the individual right to keep and bear arms. I said they couldnt re-interpret that clear language - and if they try - it'll spark a second revolution.
