Thanks for the article.

It is easy to say now that when I was 19 I wouldn’t have done what he did.

As a side note, we actively imported a lot of older scientists and officers who were likely more culpable than this guy. I would be willing to bet we are currently letting in former Communists and terrorrests who have done far worse.

However, prayers for the families of those killed back then. We should never forget.

Shoot his worthless ass.

Do you feel the same about William Calley and his platoon? His actions were based on onsite witnesses, not decades long nazi records of who served where and no legitimate witnesses to the crimes he was alleged to have committed other than the fact that he was there.........

As for Calley, I know several Vietnam vets who witnessed and participated in similar atrocities that fortunately were never discovered by the MSM and subsequently ignored by the military.........

The answer here is complete and total cut-off of any and all American money to these countries.

Seems like an overly emotional response.

The US and the other countries concerned are probably just waiting for Palij to die, rather than spend the money on transporting, trying, and imprisoning him.

There might be moral outrage, but from a practical point of view it's understandable and I doubt there are any hard feelings between the US and the countries concerned.

Hell, we have former terrorists, with blood on their hands, being best buddies with a former President. And no chance that ANY justice will be done on him in this life.

“Seems like an overly emotional response.”

Not at all! It’s long past time that we spent money on countries that hate us and are doing everything in their power to do us in! Besides, we don’t really have the money to be handing out in the first place.

This is a BIG problem with Chinese illegals, as the Chinese gov.t WON’T take them back. Trump needs to press Xi on this.

Nice try at moral relativism. Calley's crimes were horrible in their context and what appears to be a failure of leadership and poor military intelligence. What that SS bastard was part of was state sponsored genocide.

He was a grunt, not a decision making officer. His job was simply to guard against escapees.

Since he was conscripted, what was his choice? Desertion? The Nazis executed deserters...........

No moral relativism, Calley summarily executed 22 South Vietnamese civilians and using your logic, they should have “shot his ass too”..........Nice try dude.......

As a post script, Calley only served 3 1/2 years of house arrest for murdering those men, women and children. As for the other members of his platoon who simply followed orders, nothing........

Jakiw Palij was simply following orders too. And as I mentioned before, there were no eyewitnesses to what he may have done other than Nazi records that indicated he may have been stationed at that labor camp........

I find it odd that there has been no attempt by the zealots to hunt down and condemn the Japanese soldiers who participated in the atrocities against U.S. soldiers during the Bataan Death March......

No, nice try on you. The Holocaust was the state policy of Nazi Germany, expressly carried out against a people because of who and what they were. Learn some history.
