The demise of Christian theology in the west, particularly since the 1960s, is a tale of how the left convinced everyone that “protestors are always ‘right’ “ and “change is always ‘progress’ “. Having acquired those memes by indoctrination in other courses, theology students brought them with them, primed and ready to accept “new age” and “Liberation” theology.
The professor with the nutcase ideas is male.
The 2018 Holy Cross graduate who appears to be supporting the professor is female.

But then this is the college that announced last week that it was dropping its sports team names and school mascot from ‘The Crusaders’ because it was offensive to muslims.
So, this should be no surprise.
Not to mention the rejection of “absolute truth” by the modernists. The demise goes back further to the philosophers like Kant and the influence of Darwin on communists like Lenin who truly began the feminist movement.

The author of the Fenwick review article is a woman. The professor whose teachings she is talking about is a man.
One wonders. I received my Ph.D in Theology from a Jesuit university some 3 decades ago, and while there were a couple of nutcases on the faculty, at that time the bulk of the professors (mostly Jesuits of course) were actually pretty sound men, not a few of which were outstanding. It is to me wholly inexplicable as to why this man has not been summarily tossed out on his ear. Where is the Jesuit hierarchy? And I’m not even Catholic (but very sympathetic).
The professor makes up his own theology.
Elinor Reilly, the Holy Cross senior, is a woman. The professor, Tat Sioung Benny Liew, is male. Or at least some of the students who have written comments on “Rate My Professor” think he is a man.
Maybe, as a tribute to the late Harry Caray, call it the College of the Holy Cow.
