If there was some funding and support, and you got the right judge, there might be an opportunity to reveal some things about Seth Rich in discovery.

This was what I was thinking. From what I have read, there is quite a lot of evidence to indicate Seth Rich did in fact leak that information to Wikileaks.

He was reported to be at a bar gathering that night and I believe, along with one of the AWAN brothers DNC’s Debbie’s IT guy. Maybe the last one to see Seth alive.

They must have had something in mind by making a point of mentioning it. I'm not sure what it was, other than to invoke some sentiment that perhaps Seth Rich was murdered by an anti-Semite or something.

By my estimation he’s hoping for a quick go-away settlement which would be a mistake on the part of defendants, it would be touted in the media the same as an admission of guilt. They need to hold their ground and force it into discovery, which if he’s the least bit intelligent will not be allowed. He’s opening a bigger can of worms than he bargained for.

The brother, Aaron, is alive and is the one alleging that HE is defamed by claims that he (Aaron) was involved. I have no idea whether he has much of a case or not, but it is a living person claiming defamation.
Since the libel suit was filed in America, it is nothing but a publicity stunt — no way he would ever prevail. That would require proving that the defendants made specific claims about Aaron Rich that they KNEW to be false. As reported, the suit alleges that the defendants “suggested” Aaron Rich might have played a role. “Suggested” connotes speculation, not a claim of fact. The plaintiff would have a heck of a time proving that the defendants did not believe that it was even possible for Aaron Rich to have helped get the data to the WikiLeaks. Next the plaintiff has to show that the defendants acted out of malice against the plaintiff (not malice for someone else like HRC, or for political motives). That would be difficult, since the defendants likely believe that helping give the DNC files to WikiLeaks was a major public service.
The defense could probably get this case tossed for not meeting the threshold for libel, just on the face of the allegation. I’d sort of like for the defendants to leave it in play long enough to subject Aaron Rich to a deposition and demand for documents.
