If it’s a high-profile case, then Aaron would have to prove malice, even if the allegations were untrue.
1) Why would him being Jewish be relevant to anything, to put in the headline?
2) I have followed the Seth Rich story fairly closely (at least anything that has made it to FR about it), and do not recall seeing anything that suggested his brother was involved in any way, related to the WikiLeaks angle.
3) The article says Seth was “shot dead”, but it is my understanding that he died later, at a hospital?
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
“1) Why would him being Jewish be relevant to anything, to put in the headline?”
Maybe because Arutz Sheva published the article.
.
What’s his standing for such a lawsuit? Where is the proof of injury e.g., would have to show more than it hurt the deceased’s reputation e.g., there was a loss of money somewhere. Joke.
Crap. It just leads to the top of the thread. See # 12 for another interpretation of why his Jewishness is relevant, all tongue in cheek.
They know who did it, and don’t want to be next.
Well, if he was, then that strictly works against his family's theory promulgated by the DC police that it was a random robbery attempt gone wrong.
They hired P.I. Rod Wheeler to investigate his death, then when they didn’t like what he had to say, they fired him, and sent him a cease and desist letter. Obviously they can’t handle the truth. You’re probably right about the threats...that, or they were paid to shut down the investigation.
I wonder ... how did they know it was Seth who passed on the emails, so quickly, when the emails had not even come out yet? Who snitched to Little Debbie?
From the Crowdstrike article:
Why do I find it interesting that Google was a major investor in CrowdStrike? Well for one, we know that Chairman of Alphabet, Inc. (Googles parent company), Eric Schmidt, was actively working to help the Hillary campaign. As I highlighted in the 2015 post,Meet Groundwork Google Chairman Eric Schmidts Stealth Startup Working to Make Hillary Clinton President:
An under-the-radar startup funded by billionaire Eric Schmidt has become a major technology vendor for Hillary Clintons presidential campaign, underscoring the bonds between Silicon Valley and Democratic politics.
The Groundwork, according to Democratic campaign operatives and technologists, is part of efforts by Schmidtthe executive chairman of Google parent-company Alphabetto ensure that Clinton has the engineering talent needed to win the election. And it is one of a series of quiet investments by Schmidt that recognize how modern political campaigns are run, with data analytics and digital outreach as vital ingredients that allow candidates to find, court, and turn out critical voter blocs.
There is also another gap in play: The shrinking distance between Google and the Democratic Party. Former Google executive Stephanie Hannon is the Clinton campaigns chief technology officer, and a host of ex-Googlers are currently employed as high-ranking technical staff at the Obama White House. Schmidt, for his part, is one of the most powerful donors in the Democratic Partyand his influence does not stem only from his wealth, estimated by Forbes at more than $10 billion. According to campaign finance disclosures, Clintons campaign is the Groundworks only political client. Its employees are mostly back-end software developers with experience at blue-chip tech firms like Netflix, Dreamhost, and Google.
You are right. You cannot be sued for defaming the dead. Is this legal extortion and hoping for a settlement?
Of course he was concerned.... if he was implicated in the transfer of the data.... he knew he would be the next arkanside accident.
It's from Arutz Sheva, an Israeli site.
They would never put Muslim as anyones religion in an article heading.
They probably would.
They might not have published this article if there weren't a Jewish connection.
I am not a lawyer, but I cannot see this suit going anywhere in a court of law. This is the kind of thing that Democrats are going to throw 10 or 20 or $30,000 at just for the nuisance of it, no real attorney would take such a suit. In my opinion.
Thanks. I didnt see the source. Makes sense.
Seth's brother, who is alive, is claiming they defamed him by saying he (the brother) helped Seth leak the emails.
What a JOKE!! Donna Brazils comments about Seths death says a ton more than any news reporter!!!
