“Legal history shows that this is not true. When abortion was illegal in all 50 states (before Hawaii and NY legalized it in 1970), it was not a capital crime in the criminal code.”

How can we be Pro-Life if we fail to acknowledge that a baby is an actual human life and deserving of such protections?

Let individual states decide this.

Absolutely and they should decide on illegals too right? It is either wrong or right no matter who makes the decision.

I can remember when it was illegal to get an abortion and we weren't killing thousands of babies a day. The country was doing fine despite that and I could still climb a tree or ride a bike without a helmet.

I didn’t state my policy preference. I was referring to legal history.

Say what you will about Rick Santorum, he was always prepared for the inevitable gotcha questions on abortion, life and traditional morality. Any aspiring conservative lol would do well to study his handling of the media in these regards. He never gave the media the sound bites they could take out of context.

Well, there’s your ‘problem’ right there.

RS had the power\knowledge of his convictions as a resource to pull from.

Most of the (R)N(C) pool are ‘one trick ponies’, if that, and can barely articulate past their issue du jour.

I mean, have you even TRIED to listen to any on the right debate the platform? Cringe-worthy.

There is no need for banning abortions or jailing those who have abortions.

The EASIEST way to deal with it is to TAKE AWAY GOVERNMENT FUNDING of ABORTION.

Do that, and the ABORTION business will wither on the vine.

Rather add the ‘coup de grace’: Terminate the Welfare State in any/all forms.

IMO, the failure come directly from, you guessed it, GOVT (again). Those on ‘welfare’ are allowed to continue to live in filth/squalor and the State (CPS/etc.) does little to nothing to make sure 1) those kids are taken care of correctly 2) a/o parent(s) are prosecuted for neglect/etc.
