The problem is this. When it comes down to judgement about a person who elected to not risk their life to save another vs one that did in fact risk life and limb to save another. It all becomes relative. — But it’s a good judge of character.

Just hope you never are put in the spot where you had to make a decision like that. It’s hard one to make. particularly when you’re under duress yourself.

Not to nitpick, but according to Scott Brown, it’s the “people’s seat.”

I think you’ll enjoy it. Get there for the beginning and the ending where they give you a few parting thoughts.

"The Founder" was an excellent movie. I think it is on Netflix now or had been for a time. There is an out of print book "Behind The Arches" by John Love that tells the story even better.

Lot of good movies out there. I don't care what the other Freepers say. Boycotting Hollywood completely is stupid. Support the good movies while shunning the bad movies and good movies will continue to be made.

I plan to see the Chappaquiddick film but I've read several books about it over the years. Books are almost always better than the movie but the movie is often worth seeing as well. Case in point, one of my favorite books is "The Right Stuff" by Tom Wolfe. The 1984 movie is definitely worth seeing even though the book told a much richer story of the first astronauts. I think I've seen "The Right Stuff" at least a half dozen times over the years.

Saw it. It was pretty good. Wish they’d delved more into why an autopsy wasn’t done when, at her age, it should have been. (Kennedys paid off Kopechnes to deny an autopsy using priest as the courier?)

We had no idea Robt. McNamara played such a role in the cover-up.

Bruce Dern as Joe, on the phone, sounded like Dr. Detroit.

I saw the movie today.

I recommend it highly, as younger to see the Dems and the Press (but I repeat myself) colluding in real time. It's like seeing the swamp in action. That, and Joe Kennedy reminded *me* of a cross between the late Stephen Hawking and Mitch Mc Cuckold.

The late Sam Kinison put it best saying Teddy was the Shemp of the Kennedy family.

And THAT explains why Ted was so LATE in reporting the accident.
