“The blame for this development rests squarely on the shoulders of Justin Trudeau. He has failed to take a single concrete step to ensure this project is completed. All he has done is give us empty words with no action.”

Sums this situation up nicely.

It is more than that, actually.

The NDP of BC and Alberta and the federal liberals each took turns giving approval, then throwing up a regulatory block to stop. There only had to be one at a time, so the other two could spend the time claiming they approved it and that work would get started.

As far as I’m concerned it was a conspiracy between the three governments so nobody would seem to share the blame for it.

I only agree with her on one issue:

* Supporting a National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

There is a major problem on the reservations here, too.

“Missing and Murdered: No One Knows How Many Native Women Have Disappeared”

Watched a movie about it (wind River) and, ironically, the murder occurred at a drill site.

I worked with a lot of Cannuks from Alberta in my oil field days. They are hard working, hard partying and good people. They are just like us Texas Oil Field hands but have an accent. The should join the United States and we will just call it “Texas in the North.”

Most people don’t know that Western Canada almost became part of the U.S. in the early days. Finally the trans Canada railroad was built to keep them in Canada. I would say the majority in Western Canada would vote to join the U.S. today given the chance.
