M is looking for an exit strategy after finding absolutely nothing, the one scenario they did not consider.
I think M is looking to get fired and then claim the final "evidence" was removed from his offices by PDJT operatives after he was removed, which will "prove" that President Trump is guilty of "something" but nobody will ever know what that something was.
M will not be able to say what "it" was because he was fired before he could connect all the dots and his "integrity" will not allow him to speculate.
They will be able to beat that drum forever.

I like the idea of POTUS pardoning every person charge by Mueller.
Not pre-announced, but sequentially, as charged.
That way he never has to fire Mueller.
And, NOBODY but Congress can say jack about it.
His exit strategy should be to do a thorough investigation and then announce that despite the thorough investigation he’s found nothing that a reasonable prosecutor would prosecute. I have a fantasy that that’s exactly what he’s doing. In order to retain credibility with the Dems he’s got to do a thorough job. But if he can’t find anything then that’s just the way it is.
LOL! I can assure you I do. I'm part of it. And the military is as politically divided as anywhere else in the country. There's great love for President Trump in the ranks and there's a significant number of service members who think he's a complete dipshit. And there's every position in between.
There is going to be no military takeover
The election of Trump has caused many rifts in family relationships, usually due to the liberal faction deciding to have nothing to do with the family members who supported Trump.
I have a close friend whose brother is gay and following the election, the brother hasn't spoken to my friend since.
Friendships have been strained and in order to preserve them, politics is likely not spoken about again.
But if the end game we suspect comes to fruition, those friendships will be destroyed and fist fights likely to occur.
There are several hard core socialists in my senior softball group who I bite my tongue rather than engage them in political argument but that could very well change and depending on their proclivity to denigrate the president,violence could very well occur..
Then expect the rise in violent protests against conservatives on colleges and the streets and eventually all hell could break out.........
This is very serious crap that is going down right now and I am very concerned............

This is not war! I know what war looks like. There will be men with guns and many people will be dead. We may be on the brink of a real war, but this is not a war.
Perhaps a real war will be needed to fix all of the damage 8 long and painful years of the Black Obama Plague has done to our country.
It’s a shame, because we have a good man as president and he has been working his heart out to help all of America.
That is from your perspective. I know for a fact lots of Obama high level loyalist officers (one a friend of mine) were removed prior to the 2016 for their politics. I also know what you are talking about. No military takeover is clean and one here will likely lead to a civil war. But if it happens so be it.

Agree....sure seems like most of our current politicians and their cronies care little about the good of the country. They care about their own agenda and, especially, ‘getting’ this President. Disgraceful. Don’t know how OR IF we’re going to get out of this mess. So sad for our country.

So, under cover of the civil lawsuit filed by Stormy Daniels and the hint of any “illegal” payments that may have been made to her, Mueller et al (Rosenstein had the actual federal DA for NY recuse himself), the DA’s office in the Southern District of NY gets a legal warrant to go on a fishing expedition in the private papers of Trumps private lawyer.
The way federal law on so many high level things is so obscure, so NOT simple, clear and transparent, federal prosecutors can turn any innocuous crumb they find into cause for a mountain of legal hurt on whomever they want to persecute.
