-- He keeps inserting himself in our politics again, working both sides of the aisle in a way that has made him toxic, but has disrupted our institutions. --

Trump is the one who has disrupted the established order. Comey is just one of many who are fighting back.

The powers that be are trans-national. Appearing to work for one country or another is done only out of necessity to fool the public. Clinton, Comey, and the others would take money and orders from ANY country, and chances are that China is a bigger player than Russia.

TREASON is still a hanging offense in this country. Comey can be charged, tried and convicted for his obvious crimes.

You do make a good point on whether or not we do have people within our justice system who have the guts and integrity to do that which is required.

Perfectly sensible for them to feel that way, on account of that is (or was) reality. No country is really run by its own people.

~~~~~
I know it.
In fact, I’d be willing to bet that if you took 10 average people and put them in various positions inside the federal bureaucracy for 10 years, and then were able to interview them privately and off the record, at least 8 of them would tell you they are smarter than the elected politicians and should be making all the ‘real’ decisions.
I just think that most of them wont (and don’t) act on this arrogance, even if it’s pretty a normal phenomenon to have subjective bias like this.
For Comey to actually come out and say Trump is unfit is more than arrogant. This audaciousness is not only unprecedented and petty, but it has a purpose. It intended to support the efforts of Mueller to fish up anything and everything possible on him. The narrative must be bolstered. My instincts tell me they have nothing substantial yet to run with and need more time.
JUST GIVE ME MORE TIME!!!
These people are obsessed. And why?
I will have egg on my face if they bring down Trump with something substantial.
But everything we are seeing recently tells me they are desperate.
I see where President Trump’s approval has increased to 51%.
We are told that our men no longer have normal levels of testosterone so I guess we will see.
-- I just think that most of them wont (and don't) act on this arrogance --
The feds are at least 60/40 black hat, bad actors intent on maintianing statuts quo. Control freaks.
Trump threatens the trans-national status quo, and even the little fiefdoms that are used to oppress the public.
-- For Comey to actually come out and say Trump is unfit is more than arrogant. --
He's protecting status quo, and will do everything in his power, legal or not, to undermine Trump. A substantial fraction of the government is like-minded (with Comey) - I'd guess well over half.
The rot runs deep and wide.
Federal Investigations Bureau? :)
...”This has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with power.”...
Yes, and envy. If you are of that ilk and cannot get what you want through legal channels, then you enter into corrupt force to get or maintain it. When our law enforcement is corrupt, then you have to ask, “who is the higher power this side of God”, and the answer is, the military. I could not bring myself to watch Comey’s interview, though I have heard that Stephanopolis did a good job. What I have heard this a.m. about his petty remarks about our President’s appearance and his marriage cause me not to place any credential on anything else he said which was reported. That kind of personal vendetta speaks highly of irrationality and dishonesty. I do believe that a classic casebook demonstration of Narcissism, plus, plus, plus might have been on display last night in that interview. Poor Mr. Comey. Hope he can get rid of that hate, for it will destroy him if he cannot look up long enough to consider what the short years of life are really all about. I doubt that in heaven, height will be considered when the awards are passed out.
That’s what I thought too, but there is too much of a pattern to this. He purposefully sank Clinton. Nobody is as stupid enough to have not seen that every time he made one of his little forays she sank like a stone in the polls. Then he was working in the administration and causing mayhem from the inside, then he got fired and started doing the same thing to Trump that he did to Clinton, only without the office to back him up. The man has to have been co-opted, and not just by the Democrats. I think the Democrats and the Republicans have common cause against this guy and I sure hope they figure that out soon, prosecute him, and ferret out his network.
“So I am falsely accused and NOT under investigation. Could you tell the public what you just told me?”
vs:
“Let’s not call it an investigation. Let’s call it a matter.”
Let the People decide!
What a concept......if they try to act on taking Trump out of office I may very well be in the crowds marching on D.C......if my radiation treatments will allow.....
