The idea that Papadopoulos was the trigger for the investigation was absurd. He did nothing that would trigger a counter espionage investigation.

Read what he pled guilty to. It’s ridiculous. He pled guilty first to lying about the date on which he met with a British professor to discuss the Russians. Mind you he did not lie about having the meeting. He just lied about the date of the meeting. I think most people would say that the idea that he would lie about the date of the meeting is not credible. More likely he made a mistake. Second he lied about the date on which he made a phone call to the Russian embassy to set up a meeting between Russian diplomats and the Trump campaign, and other details concerning the phone call like how long it lasted etc. The meeting never happened because the Trump campaign nixed it but Papadopoulos was charged with lying about those details concerning the call. Not with committing any crime in connection with what they were investigating.

Then they wired Papadopoulos. And the wire produced nothing.

So Sid Viscious gave the Clinton DNC dossier to the State Dept and John McCain gave it to the FBI.

Collusion.

Sessions recused himself from everything and anything connected with Hillary. His helpless bystander role is self imposed.

Rosenstein, the acting AG, signed the illegal FISA warrant precisely in an effort to destroy Trump and ensure a Hillary victory. The idea that now he’s going to flip flop and seriously investigate Hillary is a nonstarter.

“Are some republican senators implicated?”

Gobble, gobble, gobble. My bet is on ole’ turkey neck McConnell. He won’t allow the senate to go into recess so Trump can’t replace mr. macgoo, and the rosenweasel.

What an image—and pretty apt I must say.

Actually Giuliani is the new clean up guy. He will do his level best to undo a part of the catastrophic damage Sessions has inflicted on Trump. Let’s pray he succeeds.

I would not blame it on McCain. If simply distracts from Hillary’s role in all this. McCain is on his way out.

The Democrats originated the idea of blaming all this on McCain.

They did the same thing when they blame the GPS dossier on some unnamed GOP donor. There is no evidence of that. Simpson testified that a GOP donor hired GPS in Sept or Oct 2015 but he never said it had anything to do with the GPS dossier. The GPS dossier states on its face that it begins with conversations between Steele and Russian operatives in June 2016, long after the GOP donor supposedly hired GPS and coinciding with Clinton’s retention of GPS to do this oppo research.

The only dated entry in the GPS dossier in 2015 is one entry that doesn’t even mention Trump but only discusses Russian hacking as a general matter. In addition the 2015 date is obviously a typo in that the discussion talks about conversations that happened in June 2016.

Papadopoulos wasn’t in the dossier. The Papadopoulos story is what they claim started the investigation, the dossier came later. What will they claim next?

Have you read the GPS dossier? Everyone should read that. It’s very enlightening.
The only thing that they actually say about Trump is that he hired prostitutes to urinate on Obama’s bed in a Russian hotel. That is a ridiculous charge. It’s similar to the pizzagate allegations. I don’t think anyone is going to believe that. Even if they did so what? It’s not grounds for a counter espionage investigation of Trump. The rest of the GPS dossier is all about what the Russians are thinking. They supposedly supported Trump. But that is not a knock on Trump. It’s a knock on the Russians. There is no way this could legitimately have triggered a counter espionage investigation of Trump.

Yeah, I don’t like it either. Makes him look petty. After all, he picked and appointed Sessions.
I hate the innocent bystander crap. Obama did it throughout his presidency.

Not exactly. Read Sessions’ recusal letter to discover what he recused himself from:

Obama and Jarrett, plus those persons unknown who ran the Obama show, are the criminals here.

Stop focusing on the sick old drunk they used as a tool, who couldn’t even win a rigged election. They’ve thrown her away like a broken toy.

This site took off as an anti-Clinton site, but neither of them matter anymore. The John Doe who calls himself “Barack Obama” however is young and vigorous. He’s been unnaturally quiet in all this, but I’m quite sure is guilty as sin.

Never mind HER. Lock HIM up.

Donald Trump was already the President of the United States -- and Rosenstein the Deputy AG -- when Rosenstein signed off on the FISA warrant extension.

How would this "destroy Trump and ensure a Hillary victory?"

Trump is used to his underlings doing exactly as he says. But the President is not a dictator and Sessions knows that he can’t act that way. Even so I agree with Trump that Sessions has been too deferential to the Deep State. It doesn’t really help Trumps case though for him to trash his own attorney general. It’s no wonder he has a hard time finding qualified people to work for him. It’s no wonder he has a turnover problem.

Papadopoulos is a distraction.

Hussein, Crooked Hillary, and elements of the Never Trump cabal including McCain conspired in 2016 to gather dirt on Donald Trump so that the Clinton administration could destroy Trump, his family, businesses, and associates.

Then Trump won ... and the cover-up phase began.

Sessions stated his recusal from all things Hillary under oath (during Senate hearing). I’ve seen the video and read the transcript. He did it in a selfish maneuver to help his confirmation process. He wanted to be AG for exactly the wrong reasons.
