English Premier League and UEFA Champions League is much better than the NFL.

The NFL charges the cable networks to carry the NFL Channel. Hypothetical case ... if the NFL charges Comcast $200/year and Comcast has 100 subscribers, then Comcast has to raise their rates $2/year for all 100 subscribers to cover the added cost. If Comcast knows that only 10 of their subscribers are NFL fans, they’ll make the NFL Network on a premium channel and charge those 10 customers an extra $20/year and leave the rate for the other 90 customers unchanged.

Hm...that might have been a very poor investment. Seems like the NFL cancelled a few Thursday night games last year due to lack of interest.

Bye. The NFL has committed suicide by allowing its players to act like common thugs.

Used to be a Cowboys and Steelers fan. No more.

I think Fox picking up Thursday night games will actually be better for the NFL. I dont like watching the NFL network. One reason is the homosexual commercials they started showing.

The NFL does not like this move because it reduces their ratings. Their TV revenue from the networks doesn’t change, but as a premium channel instead of a basic channel the NFL Network doesn’t reach as many viewers.

Au contraire, mon ami. The Dallas Cowboys are probably worthy $2 billion by themselves.

The Fox deal was actually for $3.3 billion.

I’ve changed my mind. If they stop kneeling, punish abusers, fix the concussion problem, stop extorting stadium tax money, stop their announcers from talking politics, and allow players to support the police, then I’ll come back to the NFL. Promise.

“Maybe it’ll get their attention.”

Are you kidding - they’ll be doubling and tripling down on their newfound social justice cause in response.

Bank on it.

Don’t watch football anyway. What I’m really pi$$ed about is that Starz cancelled “Ash vs. Evil Dead” when this season ends. One of the only reasons I started subscribing to it was to watch the show...that and Black Sails which they cancelled a couple of years ago. I immediately called my cable company (Time Warner/Spectrum), and cancelled my subscription. “Ash vs. Evil Dead”, “Outlander”, and “Counterpart” were the only programs I watched. Never watched any of the movies because I can get them faster via Netflix. Saved myself $15 a month + tax by canceling. Wrote Starz, and told them I had cancelled my subscription in response to their canceling “Ash.” They could care less, simply responded with one of their canned automatic emails.

In the meantime ESPN is bleeding like insane idiots who keep running into picture windows and glass doors.

Ain't it though?

I use to turn on Mike n Mike in the morning to get my early fix on football and a lesser degree in sports in general. The new show has none of the friendly sports bar chat. None.

Mike Greeny was bearable with Mike Golic as a counterfoil but the trio they have are just mirror images of his idiocy.(I won't get into the female on the show, just say she's out of her element)

I cannot take "First Take" in only small doses and the same with the Skip/ Shannon Sharpe show.

I value my sanity more than yelling at the TV so early in the morning so I guess I'll sleep in later..

If they have NFL on Saturdays, Sundays, Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night, why do they need it on Cable

Not my money. I refuse to pay for something I used to get for free.

Oh no!!! My favorite show. I even bought a Pop doll of Ash, him holding a shotgun and chainsaw. Every time, when I get hooked on a series, they go and cancel it...

NFL used their network to create demand for a new product, which they have sold for $3 Billion.

You bet they’re crying. All the way to the bank.

My buddy canceled his cable because of forced ESPN.
I’m thinking of doing the same....just got to convince a few others here at home as well.

if i lived alone cable would be a distant memory.
