Many people bought their season tickets last year before all this started. I’m waiting to see if the worst is yet to start, will they have a huge drop off of season ticket holders? If they do, they’ll be in a whole new level of hurt.
Last season, even if they didn’t want to go to the game many sold their tickets to recoup the costs and “somebody” still attended the game. That might look a whole lot different for this upcoming season.
ts the owners fault for NOT stopping this $hit when it started. They allowed it to spiral out of control and they are paying the price.
No one has a RIGHT to protest on their employers time. If they want to protest off the field, that is their right, but on the filed, they do NOT have a right to protest.

Amen brother! Imagine if, the week after Kaepernick started his protests, 10 Christian players stood next to him holding up aborted baby parts with signs saying defund planned parenthood. The right to protest during the anthem would have ended immediately. Like Kraft said “ Trump’s agenda is dangerous to the United Socialist States of America and their evil, secular humanist agenda.”
Having said that, I would be equally against anti abortion protests during sporting events as well. The politicization of private institutions should not be permitted. It destroys individual freedom while appearing to do quite the opposite.
I believe in truth in advertising. They should just rename the league the AAFL, the Anti-American Football League.
I predict the decline in viewers continues, though not as sharply as last year. The loss from the protests has happened.
What the NFL isnt fixing is a game with too many interruptions and too much uncertainty about what just happened on the field of play.

Last year was about viewership. This year will be about ticket holders. Season ticket holders from last year had already purchased their tickets before the kneeling began. I believe there will be a drop in ticket purchases for this year. Patriotic fans, after getting kicked in the face and essentially called “racists” by Black players they paid thousands of dollars to hero worship as they ran around a field, will find it difficult to renew those seats. Should be interesting.
Jack Hammer won’t ever watch pro football again.
Agree 100%
LOL -- seemed like a good idea at the time, I guess....
When all this started I watched several journalists on Fox and Newsmax repeat the NFL rules...
Players will stand at attention with their helmets in their left hands and face the flag during the National Anthem.
The problem here is nobody wants to enforce long established NFL rules. The owners could have stopped it the very first night Kaepernick started it by simply pulling out the rule book.
He should have been suspended for several games on the spot for violating NFL rules, or even for the season, and probably could have been fined as well. No more problem.
I don’t really care, I haven’t watched football since the last time I was required to be at a game because I was in high school band.
Don’t say it, maybe you think I don’t have any business commenting on football, but once it becomes a new story, I can comment all I want to, football fan or not.
Fans need to do what I did. When the baseball players went on strike for more money in about 1975, I was a huge baseball fan. Baseball season opened about 2 months late. I was in the military making well under $10,000 a year, the players were making $50,000 to sit on the bench. I thought about that for a couple of days and didn’t like it, I’ve never watched another baseball game since. I’m sitting here waiting for some politician to send me halfway around the world to be a moving target while you sit on your butt and whine about more money? And you already make 10 times what I do? Forget you...Their greed cost them a fan, and I don’t care. Never missed it.
Simply stop watching them, when they start whining about losing money, remind them why.
I had a similar experience moved down to Atlanta in 1991 or so. Started following the braves, because they were on TBS all the time. The young pitchers, the braves chant, it was pretty exciting. Then the 94 strike, had the same feeling, working my as_ off, and these guys playing a game and getting paid crazy money. That was it, decided at that point never to pay attention to baseball. Best way to punish these owners and players is simply to ignore them and their professional game. Secondary benefit is less distraction from bread and circuses.
Lets make sure that we keep this confidential, Commissioner Roger Goodell said to begin the session.
There is no way a room of 30 people with divergent agendas would ever remain confidential. I am surprised it took this long for it to come out. I doubt someone recorded the entire meeting with clandestine equipment.
You are 100% correct.
It became too late for this retired Army Officer when they went to London and stood tall for God Save the Queen and groveled for our own anthem in a foreign land. I don’t give a damn what they do.
“nothing NFL will ever touch a screen in my home ever again. EVER.”
I have to admit that some random plays or pictures of NFL logos etc, have been on my TV screen but only by accident and the channel changed quickly.
I truly do not miss the “show” and have found many other things to do with the hours wasted on a stupid game.
I played football in High School and 2 years in college, know the game but hate the demonstrations and the mugging of players by defensive backs. I have not renewed my season tickets for the local D-1 college for this year. They avoided any demonstrations by keeping the players in the locker room until the National Anthem was played. Some of the blacks had the nerve to later kneel together several time during the game. What BS! Also, the Homecoming King and Queen were two girls, fat and skinny, who kissed after being chosen. Was I confused? You bet. Pissed off? You bet! See you later....
Kraft is the juicy fart in church...YUK.
I can’t stomach the idea of that liberal Masshole being given space in our Forum.
The nfl has proven by word and action that they literally hate 90% of their former fan base. They despise the very people who pay their salaries and have made them rich beyond their wildest dreams.
We will never forget or forgive. The nfl is dead.
10 years ago I wrote Roger Goodell a letter and predicted that he would ruin the NFL. I take no joy in being correct. I see a new professional football league is gearing up for next year. Great!
The NFL could cripple this new football enterprise by simply obeying its own charter rules Sure...
