Used to go to Shakey’s Pizza Parlor for canadian bacon and pineapple pizza, cheap pitchers of beer, and ragtime music on the piano. Fun times!
I’m the only one in my family that likes pineapple on pizza. The only one who doesn’t like ham. Or coffee.
Pretty sure I’m in the will anyway.

Ive had pineapple on my pizza and without both are good.. I like pizza. Used to love Shakey’s pizza. Then I liked Just Do it! Godfathers!

I LOVE escargot. I wish more restaurants would serve them. Alas, the one classy restaurant where I used to be able to get them stopped serving them. Guess I was the only one who ever ordered them.
Still, I'm not sure I'd put them on a pizza, although since they are typically cooked in butter and garlic, I think they would work better than pineapple.

I would never do pineapple with fish, but it works with beef.

Canadian bacon, pineapple, and jalapeños.
Mango, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice, spoon on top of Mahi Mahi. Skip the fish, put in one habanero and you have a salsa.

As I remember the story, a Japanese business woman, unusual in itself for that time, started a Shakey’s franchise in Japan in the 70s. Thinking it would take off, she noticed it wasn’t and did a marketing survey. To her suprise, the Japanese didn’t like so much meat on their pizzas. So she started experimenting with varieties and hit on the Canadian bacon and pineapple topping. Now you know..................... the rest of the story.
