You know, I would have said that same thing, but some guys who were helping me out around the house asked for a pizza w/pineapple. I had a piece. It was really good. Surprisingly so.
I will still say that anchovies are the devil’s fish and need to stay off of a decent, American pizza.
Pineapple is only appropriate as a topping when combined with either ahi tuna....

I had escargot on a pizza in France near the Belgian border about 20 years ago. I had the impression that it was not uncommon. This was a small blue collar lunch spot in the country.
Pineapple Pizza was Mountain Fiji’s preference back in the late 1980’s/early 1990’s. Mountain Fiji was one of the wrestlers on “The Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW).”

That is a great story. Funny, but so incredibly simple its brilliant. How else would a bureaucratic functionary come up with a price? Just keep a copy of the Sears Roebuck catalog in the bottom desk drawer.

I lived in France too long not to love anchovies on pizza. They are on every pizza.
In general, no. You have to ask who will consume and enforce the edict if a pizza with pineapple on some slices is ordered.
It never fails. One or two people will ask for crap toppings on an order of pizzas. Then they eat a slice or two of the crap-pizza and then pig out on the good stuff everyone else wanted. Leaving half or more of a crap-pizza uneaten.
That’s the key. If you ordered it, you better be eating it. First and foremost.
Godfather’s was/is awesome. If they’re still makin’ ‘em the way they did in the early 80’s!
