In a bar last night, and I asked t turn the boxing on. The barmaid flicked through the channels and I saw CNN. I could not believe the headlines, something about Trump disses journalists celebrating 1st amendment.
Why the hell would the President want to sit in a room with a bunch of anti American communists.

Any word on the attendance? Seems Trump alluded to problems filling the venue but wasn’t detailed.
On one hand, if it was half empty I’m sure the deep state media would have panned the crowd, on the other hand, Trump didn’t focus too much on attendance.

“He must have known that he was throwing his staff to the wolves, and I would think that they will be rewarded in praise for putting up with the slings and arrows of filth.”
I can see Sanders and Conway walking into Trump’s office Monday Morning and saying, “YOU owe us big time!”.

Sadly, I don't associate with some people, including some family, with whom I enjoyed talking politics with in the past. Not anymore. As soon as they bash Trump, I'm out of here. That actually works. At a family gathering at Christmas time, a few in the room started on Trump bashing, spouting the usual crap that they hear on social media or on late night TV. Without saying a word, I just picked up my drink and left the room. I didn't want to argue with them and spoil the day. It was Christmas and I was with family. To my surprise, other family members joined me and the loudmouths in the other room, having lost most of their audience, fell silent. The rest of the day, Trump was never mentioned by them again.

He referred to it early. Full auditorium and thousands outside watching on a Jumbotron.

I went to the campaign rally in Ocala, FL in 2016.
The enthusiasm of the crowd was so great that I will never forget it. The line to get into the arena (a stock show/rodeo venue) seemed as if it was a mile long. The arena was filled in time to see Rudy Giuliani do the warm up with a few local pols. Candidate Trump gave his usual rousing speech and the folks just ate it up. I said to a friend, “he will win, we can all feel it.” You can't believe the sound of ten thousand voices yelling, “LOCK HER UP!”
Never get tired of winning.

And even more watching it on streaming video.

It’s masterpiece, one word.
Heard the venue could hold 5,000. President Trump joked they should have found a bigger venue.
Apparently, they could have filled it three times over. There was a two-mile traffic jam of people on the highway to get there.
People began lining up 5:00 am the day before to get in.

The sadness of the HRC supporters continues to this day.
“Shocking, I tell you, shocking!”
We have a small Classical Music Club in my development.
The leader is a dyed in the wool, life long liberal and has not had a meeting since November of 2016. The Dems seem to be in hibernation.
Listening to classical music can’t even lift the spirits of losers.
