How do you explain the fact that Trump has bashed and humiliated Sessions on several occasions?

Rudy said he & Trump are heartbroken over Sessions behavior. Rudy said he is sorry he did not take the AG job because he would never have put Trump in this position. If this is not plain enough for the Sessions supporters to figure out...I give up.
