According to Cal-Berkley, Republicans speaking is to blame for Democrat violence. It must be that Republicans breathing is to blame for Democrats speaking up for violent ends.
He’s not advocating civil war, nor will there be one. They way it works, is that once the laws are in place, the following happens:
1) Everyone is promised that there will NOT be any mass break-in searches for these weapons, in other words ‘if you have like your guns, you can keep your guns’ (for now).
2) Then there will be a buy-back period, with a decent amount of money being paid, maybe $2k for an AR - in order to get as many back as possible.
3) Then, after a short while, there will be an Amnesty for those who still have their weapons - no more $2k, just a way to get rid of them before the real enforcement begins.
4) Then the show-trials begin, as weapons are come across, or people are ratted on, by kids or ex’s, they will go case-by-case. For people who turn them in, a light sentence, for those who don’t, a search warrant, with a felony charge if anything is found.
5) After some very high profile convictions and 10 year jail terms of otherwise law-abiding white people, another amnesty is offered, and more turn in their guns.
6) Then they maybe start asking questions to people who haven’t dispositioned guns they had purchased (i.e., using background checks). If you comply and either give a good reason for no longer having them (and no, a boating accident won’t work), a light sentence, if not, more searches.
7) And then, after a bunch more show trials, maybe one last Amnesty.
And, at that point it’s pretty much over - the government will mop them up as they find them.
It all ends in a whimper. Oh yea, and the Second Amendment, that only protects the right of the military (militia) to have guns (LOL), thanks to our Democrat judges. Remember, Heller was a 5-4 decision.
The democrats will force honest, non-violent citizens to turn them in, and they will NEVER try to take guns away from violent criminals.
