>>Having read both books I have to say that while I believe Schlichter exaggerates the depths of American leftist depravity and commitment to their stated objectives, hes spot on with the dynamic of how they would govern.
He understands them better than you. Most Progs are sheep, but their leaders, whom they will follow blindly, are every bit as depraved and committed as his novels makes them out to be.
Theyve been working on this for a century! Thats generations of failure with tiny gains and they still continue. They are more committed to their ideology than we are, believe me. Ive been reading their writing for 20 years and I understand their mind. Mind. Singular. Because they are a hive.
Always remember that Progressivism is a compromise. It was the calmer Communists telling the bomb-throwing radical Communists to settle down, that they have a better way. A kinder, gentler way to change America. But the bomb-throwers are sick of waiting. The Baby Boomer Communists are getting nervous that their lives will end without victory and they are the bad guys in Schlichters novels.

You may want to look again. Check out the M26 MASS, which is replacing the Mossberg 500s in US Army service. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M26_Modular_Accessory_Shotgun_System
It fires off Saiga 12 detachable mags.
The US military is moving away from pump guns and starting to move to detachable-mag-fed shotguns. One issue is that there hasn been a lot of reliable box mag shotgun designs made and none were successful
In the US until recently - the popularity of the Saiga 12 combined with
The beginning of US production of licensed Saiga 12s and US made clones (Origin 12, etc) has reportedly started to draw US military interest.
I would also point out that several foreign militaries use the Saiga 12 in various configurations. The Russians have been using the Saiga 12 and its cousin the VEPR 12 extensively in Syria by all reports, and are very pleased with it. Seventeen NATO countries have adopted the VEPR 12
in varying capacities.
You sir, are 100% correct. Thank you for the additional information that I neglected to include.
I'll stick with my Win 1200, unless I upgrade to a Benelli M4 like my son has.
The M26 is a breaching tool and not designed as an anti-personnel weapon. It was chosen by the US military over the KAC Masterkey and Remington MCS Accessory Weapon, both of which use the Remington Model 870 shotgun as a base. The M26 distributes its weight further back compared with the 870 and so it feels lighter.

-shrug- The Army is replacing all their M500s with M26s box mag loading shotguns. Its a fact.
I would also point out that in skeet and three gun, the Saiga 12 is often so much better in all respects than a tube gun that they get heavily handicapped for competition balance reasons, have arcane rules written to try to make them uncompetitive or are even de facto banned by the organizing entity. A tube mag gun carrying 8 or 10 (or more) rounds ends up being quite a bit more unwieldy than the Saiga carrying the same number of rounds due to how long the tube mag must be. A Saiga 12 is the same length with 2 rounds as with a 5/8/10 round stick mag or 10/12/20/30 round drum.
I wouldnt buy an M26 anyway.
First, the US military mostly uses shotguns only as breachers or anti-boarding weapons. The remaining users are MPs/guards, that sort of thing. Even so, the Marines have moved away from manually actuated shotguns - the Benelli M4 is currently issued by the US Marines as the M1014 shotgun. Manually operated shotguns are prone to operator error under stress, so people are moving to auto loaders. The M1014 is replacing Mossberg 590s and Remington 870s in most service applications now. The Marines are also reportedly looking into converting their 1014s to box magazine fed.

“....The elite is no longer even hiding its belief that Normals have no right to govern ourselves....”.
If you only click one link in his very linky article, click that one. It’s here:
Leftists really do want to put us in death camps and kill us all. That belief has no been normed and mainstreamed.

There’s a puff piece post at Ammoland dubbed “The Superiority of the Saiga Autoloading Shotgun” that sings the high praises of the Saiga 12-gauge autoloader. The gun is one of the more popular “alternate” designs for shotguns out there and the article touts the accuracy and reliability of the gun. But as someone who has owned a Saiga and has just seen the best competition shooters in the world try to run them in a competition, I call bullshit . . .
"But if you don't have access to effective firearms, and what liberals mislabel assault rifles are the best tactical choice,
you have a 100% chance of not being able to defend yourself.
As the suppressed CDC study that was recently revealed demonstrates, gun use for self-defense happens several million times a year.
Unarmed, you have no chance to defend yourself, your family, your community, or your Constitution from threats."
Good ping.

BIG>BINGO! THAt is the essence of perspective for the entire democrap party, and sadly, the voters who keep sending the dead-soul D devils back to Congress.
The agenda of the democrap party going back to at least Lyndon Johnson has been to bring society down to a common level. not make pursuit of excellence a reality in America. Sadly, the Republicants have eagerly enabled that evil.
Read the comments and the follow up articles comments. Basically the author gets taken apart and shown to be an idiot.
My take on what I read is its a crap shoot on the quality of the gun that you happen to purchase.
I’ve not had any trouble with my Saiga 12, but I’m sure you saw what you saw. That said, a Saiga with a 20 or 33 round drum give me more firepower than I could have, short of an NFA weapon.
