Politicians used to wrap themselves in religion and the flag.

Now they worship at the feet of “science”.

Scumbags then, scumbags now...

Flexible spouts and air vents caps are easy to find online and I replace all the new spouts with these.

I'm a cattle farmer and normally have 10-5 gallon cans in the barn to use for our equipment.

I throw the new-fangled spouts away as soon as I buy a gas can.

I also have several where I drilled a hole and use a screw to plug them..fill my riding lawnmower up in no time flat instead of playing the “tipping game” with the can to replenish the air every few ounces....

Oddly enough with vapor-less gas containers are empty and then open for refill any fumes inside the container will escape at that point. So I don’t really understand the ingenuity of a vaporless gas can.

Honestly, when I bought my gas can three years ago I hated the damn thing. But dang it, the thing works great. No spills. Easy to use.

I always cut my wheels to the curb when parking on a hill or a slope. Daddy taught me that. My sister refused, I guess because she lost a Dodge Colt down a hill into a boulder and totaled her car.

I like to carry a small portable tank on my little boat that fits under the front deck. My little 1.4 gallon tank that I’ve had for years made by Blitz started to crack so I bought probably 4 or 5 newer ones looking for one that fits and has a spout like the old one so I can pour gas into my tank without contortions the new ones have us do. I found a few of the old blitz’s on eBay but it was 30 bucks for a tank that had been worth about 6 dollars.
In addition to the cans, all the new portable gas tanks that go in a boat no longer have a vented cap , you have to buy this inline contraption that goes on the fuel line. So you have to cut your fuel line install this thing and now your setting yourself up for leaks.

I got one of these cans, the 2.5 gallon size, for my little outboard motor. I like it.

$40 for a gas can?

You have to be kidding!

I own 2 older vehicles. a 1976 Chevy 1 ton dually truck & a 1979 Buick station wagon.

I CAN NOT use the new cans because the ‘dog leg’ nozzle won’t properly connect into my fuel openings. I ONLY have the older cans.

I am frankly very tired of all the idiots declaring that everything I own should be or is illegal.

I use a ‘wing screw’ so I can just turn it with my fingers.

Remember those compact fluorescent craplights?
The 55 mph speed limit?
Always remember that politicians are politicians because they are not smart enough to do anything useful.
Tune in to see what happens on the new CA law that all new houses have to have solar power(at an increased cost of $20k or more).
We’ll not be able to make enough guillotines when the revolution II comes.

“$40 for a gas can? You have to be kidding!”

I got the 2.5 gallon model. Forgot the price.

I wanted a can with real good flow control as I’d be pouring the gas into the motor while on the lake. You turn the can all the way up, then control with button. A good, controllable flow.

I have simple, now illegal, cans for my mowers, etc.

Me too except that in screwing with the spout I inadvertently broke something and it now works great

Speaking of a great use of time; they set up a DUI check point and stopped 5000 vehicles and came up with three violations.

Ez-pour

They make direct replacement caps, vents, poor spouts for north fine and course thread cans. Cheap solution.

From an earlier thread:

I also have 5 (5 gallon) plastic gas cans with the old spouts.

I bought cans and or spouts online. Sometimes throwing away smaller cans just to get the spouts.

They are safe, easy to use, and eliminated the troublesome separate vent.

Banning these spouts (STUPID idea) put one of the biggest gas can manufacturers out of business.

This idea was a solution looking for a problem. They couldn’t find a problem, but that didn’t stop them from implementing their solution anyway.

See examples here: I’m not selling these, just using the photos for you to see.
