Trump should have a Marine detachment deliver a Luger to Obersturmbannfuhrer Mueller in his office with orders to do the honorable thing - or have it done for him.
Trump should just refuse and instead respond with the publicly proven list of unethical and illegal practices Mueller has engaged in over his career.

My suggestion would be to answer the questions in writing and when sending them to Mueller, release to the public at the same time. The President’s schedule should over rule that of the Special Counsel.
Trump should immediately suspend mueller and all his cronies for 1 week for insubordination. Make him sign a counseling letter acknowledging that he is an employee of the executive branch of the United States and as such he is to remain subordinate to the executive at all times. If he refuses to sign counseling dismiss him for cause. Better yet direct Rod Rosenstein to counsel him. Remember there is no other statutory outlet to appoint a special counsel. Trump is the only game in town.

Here’s a new idea.
Trump signs an Executive Memorandum announcing the Mueller and his entire staff is now on administrative leave while an independent prosecutor investigates their activities in office that appear to be violations of law. He will be certain to name the crimes.
If the prosecutor finds no illegal activity, then they will be removed from administrative leave. But if he finds illegal activity, then he will charge and try them.
Note that with the EM he is not firing the Special Counsel, which avoids the so-called Impeachment trap.
