To be perfectly honest, I did not know that Meghan Markle was “black”. Nor, do I care, now that I have heard that totally irrelevant “fact”.
Someone needs to get a life.
Being proud of one’s race is irrational on the face of it. Achievements and accomplishments are the only things one can rationally take pride in as they are earned. Race is unearned-—you didn’t have a choice, and it took no effort.

This is stupid. Markle will now have exactly NO control over anything regarding the royal family. Harry is not in the line of succession unless William’s entire family perishes in a tragedy. She may be seen, but for the rest of her official life, Markle will do as she is told. So much for an empowering powerful woman.

You noticed that too? It’s like author was biting at the bit for blackness to take over the wedding. There is a lack of sensitivity towards whites as well. I wonder how sensitive Markle is to that side of her?

I recall the first time I saw the photo of the two on some web site. At the time I had no idea who either one was but the thought came to me that the guy could do a lot better than her.
When I read who he was, I did remember seeing him before. Then I read that she was Black. No way. She might be 1/16th Black, certainly no more than 1/8th. She really doesn’t look Black at all.
I do know that in my somewhat suspicious mind, that as soon as I saw the Black statement, I knew what was going on and it continued just as my suspicions had predicted.
The whole thing was a showpiece to how great it is to Marry a Black person when you are White. Also to show the world how open minded the British Royalty are.
Does anyone in their right mind think that is the best he could do?
