And what leverage does Merkel have? Not the GDP and market value of the United States. She thinks she can try her hand on with China and come out on top? All her technology will be stolen and they’ll have a trade deficit despite the large chinese market and at cross purposes with the United States.
I wonder if this was the supposed shadow government idea, the one Barack Obama has built?
She better go tend to Italy. The EU seems to be fraying around the edges. Particularly seaport countries.
It really is a shame we did not nuke Germany out of existence during WWII. The huns are the most disgusting excuse for humanity ever created.

The EU and Germany don’t have open markets either. The US is the least protectionist country on earth when it comes to trade. Trump is just leveling the playing field.
When Merkel was running for the first time in Germany, I posted Hillary in a Hitler uniform on the first FR thread on this bitch. I was condemned by a bunch of Freepers and they had my post pulled. To all who got on my shit, FU. I was right back them.
The sad fact is, the alternatives to Merkel in Germany are even worse.

The facts were clear then. She grew up in East Germany and its a woman. Both facts that make bad leaders.
But Angie, China does not have an open market, nor do they follow rules in world trade.
In order to realize what you are saying, a person has to have common sense and the ability for reasoning. Letting in all these so called “Asylum seekers” with most of them probably never wanting to integrate or assimilate, I believe that’s enough proof that there is something lacking in her thought process.

The countries of Western Europe are no longer free and not worth American blood or treasure to defend.
We need to get out of NATO, ASAP. Bring the troops and equipment home.
That’s exactly what the EU wants. Not a good idea to give these people what they want, given their history.
I think we’d win on this one. The EU hasn’t been keeping up on its defense. I don’t know how bad the Frogs are, but the German military is in miserable shape.

When the next general European war comes, we should pop popcorn and sell weapons to both sides - cash in advance.

Never give your old enemy something he says he wants. Even if it appears to be a mistake on his part. Germany in particular still has a large munitions manufacturing base and is a significant arms exporter; not to mention that the EU does have a central command ready to swoop in and take control of all of the EU member state forces.

Maybe Merkel is Germany’s Manchurian candidate. After all, she was literally brainwashed in the East.
I think Sun Tzu would also say that it foolish to leave your troops and chariots isolated in a hostile land.
In that context, he does talk about the expense of having long supply lines, and advises foraging on the enemy. It’s a good idea to not let that enemy re-arm, too. I would entertain the idea of removing hostile governments too; the ones in Brussels, Berlin and Paris seem to be a problem, and the UK’s Red Tories would fall in line if they were gone.
