“can be linked to” and “caused by” are not equal statements. Death can be linked to old age. Old age does not cause death.

Harvard Study estimates deaths. In other words, complete BS FAKE STUDY. Come back with a study with actual bodies—not estimates. They probably include anyone who died within the time of the hurricane, even with unrelated causes. BS Study.

Rubin is as pathetic as they come. Honesty is not something she has even the slightest association with. Of course Rubin forgets to mention the corruption in PR and the actions of the hyper partisan mayor that caused so much of the problems. But then, Rubin herself is no journalist, but a hyper partisan political hack masquerading as a journalist.

The mayor of San Juan complained about the response from FEMA, but had skipped all of the weekly FEMA meeting that started just before hurricane IVON hit the island. She made her speech denouncing the POTUS while standing in front of dozens and dozens of pallets of aid that had arrived.

Add to it that the head of the electrical workers union on the island did not allow line crews that came in from the States on their own dime to help. The reason given was that the volunteers were not certified/skilled to perform the work.

Compound that with the fact that the head of the local trucking union declared that they wouldn’t move any of the relief supplies until their contract was renegotiated.

Most of the negative aftermath of the two hurricanes was self-inflicted. The saddest part is that the local politicians and bureaucrats that either caused or mis-managed this situation will be re-elected and/or keep their jobs.

Interesting. I know a Marine (former) who went there to put up new lines. He made a lot of money, too. He went from California. Hmmm. I’ll have to find out more info.

It’d be nice to kick them out completely. They, like so many others, drain us dry and then whine and blame us for their failures.

If the people of Puerto Rico were worth a damn, there would not be the problems they can’t rid themselvres of

This happened post hurricane Ivon. I got the information from a few friends and family that live on the island.

By time Maria departed, it was known by all that the repairs could not be done using only local labor.

they could not get off their butts, drive to the docks and get their own supplies

Bingo! Pictures also showed they couldn't get off their butts to pick up debris from their yards. How hard is it to send the kids out to pick up the yard? Gotta teach 'em young to depend upon the kindness of strangers.

The left had this in mind the moment the first gust of wind hit the island. They couldn’t wait to blame the destruction on Trump.

I play poker on a rather regular basis.

One day I showed up at a bar where we had a weekly game (free bar league poker, not cash). One of our guys was clean shaved and hair cut to reg. length.

Said he was going to be gone for 6 months. His unit had been called up. They were going to Puerto Rico to work on repair of power lines and handing out food.

We all wished him well, and the following week, he was gone.

The next week, he was back. We were all shocked. I asked him what happened and he said “We got there, and were there for a few days and the police came by and told us we were being sent back. That our unit was no longer needed.”

He told us about the unions refusing to let them touch a single item on the power grid, the truckers refusing to allow them access to the food and water supplies and there was nothing they could do to help. They tried, but were shut down.

How the hell is all this Trump’s fault? The Democrap union workers are preventing the place from being fixed.

GTH Harvard and the Washington Compost.

When a natural disaster happens and a Republican is President, the suffering is all his fault—Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina, the hurricane which hit Puerto Rico. If a disaster happens and a Democrat is President, no blame attaches to him.

A new Harvard study published Tuesday....

This Rubin creep needs to understand that the "Harvard" brand is garbage.

I don’t care what Rubin thinks or says.

Any Jew who doesn’t practice their religion and is a never Trumper is a suspect in a conspiracy.

Puerto Rico was on the road to ruin long before Trump took office.

And the corrupt democrat politicians there who have been funnelling relief supplies to themselves and their cronies are not accountable?

Unlike Katrina and Harvey, all of the supplies have to be sent in by ship.
