My solution for public school shootings is not a very popular one, even here on FR.
I say homeschool (there are a number of options to accomplish that), and get Dad back in the home and be a real father!
Oh, and get the whole family to Church on Sunday.
Boyd is an ILLEGAL HUGGER and GUN GRABBER. HARWELL A RINO PUSHED THROUGH THE PROGRESSIVE GAS TAX HIKE.
Lee is a none entity. Says he will balance the State budget. WHICH the STATE CONSTITUTION ALREADY MANDATES. Not very well informed.
Black will support Trump, the rest NO. She may not be the best, but in this case the best we have to chose from, rest are NOT acceptable at all.

It’s true that H.R. 4760 would give amnesty to about 700,00 DACA recipients. It’s an unfortunate trade-off, which has been endorsed by Donald Trump throughout his campaign.
But it would also mandate E-Verify, which is needed to prevent businesses from hiring illegal aliens, end chain migration (preventing ALL amnesty recipients EVER from bringing in distant relatives), end the visa lottery, end visa abuse for high-tech visas, and asylum abuse, provide the judges and enforcement tools to enforce the borders INCLUDING end catch and release. This could all prevent tens of millions from coming to America illegally and quasi-legally.
ANd to be clear: HR 4760 is Trump’s immigration agenda.
Whoever wrote this is purposely undermining Pres. Trump.

Every time I see the ad about “dishonest Diane”, I wonder what the true story is?
Gotta appreciate the irony of how the left always manages to come up with names for the bill’s that sound great but are the exact opposite of what they really are.
All I’ve seen are her “Catch and release” ads. She’s at least trying to give the impression she is anti-illegal immigrant. I’ve seen some of Boyd’s too...yeah, he’s a non-politician, businessman, going to balance the budget (don’t they have to at the state level)?, etc. I have seen a couple of Harwell’s.
Diane Black is an bona fide Establican. She claims to be conservative, yet has a D scorecard rating from Conservative Review. She claims to be pro-life, though she has voted numerous times to fund Planned Butcherhood. She claims to be against illegal immigration though she voted for drivers licenses for illegals when in the TN General Assembly. On the list goes.
Mae Beavers was the only tried and true conservative running for governor, but she withdrew due to lack of support. Diane Black, Randy Boyd and Beth Harwell all have records fighting against conservative principles. Boyd even donated $250k to the head of La Raza. Harwell is one of the primary reasons much of the conservative agenda has been killed in the General Assembly.
That leaves Bill Lee as the only person who does not have a record fighting against conservative principles. He publicly supports all the right things, but is running one of the worst campaigns in Tennessee history and hired a bunch of Establican hacks to do so.
No great options for conservatives, but Lee is the only one that has not outright lied about his positions and record.
I suspect that Black cited porn more for headlines than because she believes it is a major factor. I am not defending porn by any means, but Black is a political opportunist who does and says whatever she thinks will get her one more rung up the ladder of power.
If a person is really concerned about mass shootings, look to the correlation thinks like broken families, psychiatric medication, or the suppression of Christian principles in public and private life.
Black absolutely does NOT have one of the highest conservative records. Far from it. Go to conservativereview.com/scorecard. A “D” rating is not a solid conservative.
Process of elimination - Black, Boyd and Harwell all have anti-conservative records. That pretty much leaves Bill Lee, and he is running a truly horrible campaign.
It is too bad that Mark Green was diverted and that Mae Beavers did not get the support her record merits.
Agree 100% with respect to Marsha. She is one of the few bright spots for conservatives.
Disagree on Black’s record based on Black’s record. Look her up at conservativereview.com/scorecard. Also consider actions like her vote to give illegals in Tennessee drivers’ licenses or the cocumented lies she told in order to defeat conservative Lou Ann Zelenik. Black is a lot of things, but a principled conservative and an honest person she is not.

They’ve been doing this to us for decades. But now that we have DJT, we don’t want their poison pill candidates anymore.
Pre-DJT, they always ensured they win either way by pre-choosing the primary candidates, leaving us bad choices. They smear, mock, set up and frame any true patriot candidate. Until the cabal is toppled, I don’t know the best way to deal with it.
The real power is held in the General Assembly. Perhaps with Harwell out of the way, a couple of the corrupt committee chairs “retiring”, and Haslam out of office, a true conservative will be elected Speaker. If the House will stop killing conservative legislation, there is a much better chance the Senate will do its part and pass some long overdue pro-constitution bills.
It would be nice for Tennessee to have a real conservative for governor, but it is more important to have a true conservative General Assembly.
That still does not solve the problem regarding GOP Gov candidates.
I really don’t know the best answer to this very serious dilemma, tennmountainman.
