I was a fairly newly minted sailor in the US Navy at the time. I was SURE that LBJ would threaten NorKor with nuclear obliteration if they didn’t release the ship and return its crew immediately.
Boy did my Commander-in-Chief ever disappoint me!
I became disillusioned with ALL democrats from that time forward.
