“We deforest the land, we degrade our soils, we pollute and overuse our water and we treat air like an open sewer, and we do it all off the balance sheet.”

Moron.

It is the wealth and prosperity created by the synergy of capitalism, innovation, and the subsequent technology that has allowed the wealthiest societies to reforest the land, protect our soils, clean our water and our air.

Grantham is at the very heart of the entire globull warming scam. sadly, only the sceptic websites have exposed what comes out of his Institutes over the years. it should be more widely known.

Wikipedia: Grantham Institute - Climate Change and Environment
The Grantham Institute - Climate Change and Environment (formerly Grantham Institute for Climate Change) is one of five Global Institutes at Imperial College London and one of three Grantham sponsored centres in the UK...
The Institute brings together climate and global environmental change expertise from across the College for climate change related research and translation into real world impact. Their aim is to improve the interaction between researchers and decision makers in business and governments, communicating research to help ensure that choices are based on the best understanding of the science and evidence available...
The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment also funds two other research institutes: one at the London School of Economics, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the other at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, the Divecha Centre for Climate Change...

If Jeremy Grantham is serious he can give all of his capital to me. I promise I'll use it to grow plants and trees on the tropical island location I purchase. You know, the kinds of plants and trees that eat CO2 and fight against the dreaded global warming.

The UN wants to kill off 85% of the population. Ted Turner wants to kill off 97% of the population. Getting rid of capitalism and replacing it with a government run dictatorship is part of the plan.

He is probably trying to get investors excited about something he has a stake in.

Like Al Gore.

His first statement is BS about deforestation.
Trees are a crop the same as corn. Trees just have a longer growth/harvest cycle.

They call them “tree farms” for a reason.

Yes, pollution from capitalistic productivity or pollution from government destructiveness. One produces peace and prosperity, while one produces destructive wars. Better to error on the side of productivity. Winter is coming.

He admires marx, who never had a steady job in his miserable life, and who allowed his family to live in miserable poverty and never did anything to lift them out of it. He took money from his friend engels and never gave it back.
Then he dared to tell the world how to manage its money.

Not to mention that Communists murdered more than 100,000,000 of their own citizen in the 20th century alone.

We may never know, but the death toll just from China under Mao Zedong and the former Soviet Union under Stalin may in reality approach 200 million.

Well, Jeremy.

If capitalism is killing the planet, and you got rich with capitalism, then you need to die.

It's our only hope to save Earth.

Human growth IS NOT “pushing the limits”!

Only stupid policies limiting education and the production of energy and food.

With FREEDOM for all, ALL can thrive.

He acts as if CO2 is a toxic pollutant, it is not.
Hysterical language.

“”Anything that happens to a corporation over 25 years out doesn’t exist for them, therefore, as I like to say, grandchildren have no value” to them, he said.”

... and government’s time horizon for “long term” is the next election. If there was no political advantage affecting them in the next election politicians would not talk about “climate change”.

Jeremy, take a vow of poverty and all your friends take it, then I’ll think about capitalism ruining the planet. Is that ok with you? I bet no, because you are a moron...

Some years ago the son of friends of ours came home from his very liberal college for Christmas vacation.

His first day home he was spouting all of his anti-capitalism nonsense.

Later in the evening he was going out and asked if he could take one of his parents’ cars.

They told him he could walk because both the car and his bike were bought with “filthy capitalist earnings”.

They stuck to their guns for his entire vacation—and he shut up.

Communist nations like China do a better job at protecting the environment?

According to the Chinese Ministry of Health, industrial pollution has made cancer China's leading cause of death. Every year, ambient air pollution alone killed hundreds of thousands of citizens. 500 million people in China are without safe and clean drinking water.

In Poland during the Communist-era, literally almost all of the forests were dead from coal emissions.
