And a little factoid being lost in all of this is that Comey only brought it up again because people within law enforcement, I think it was regular police officers who had Weiner's laptop, were threatening to expose that the FBI had been sitting on the evidence to deliberately cover it up. Comey was just trying to fend off bad news by taking charge. There is a zero percent chance that he did so without first getting approval from Clinton herself.

Comey, of all people, was fired abruptly while he was on a promotion tour for his role as FBI director (no kidding!) and now, we are to believe that Sessions needs the IG report to (maybe) fire someone in the swamp?
