I’m not a believer in the minimum wage either but soaring costs come far more from other things than from the minimum wage. Adjusted for the true rate of inflation the FEDERAL minimum wage is far lower than it was 55 years ago. The dollar has been destroyed since WWII with most of that happening since 1972 or so.
