Trump has already said no. They are not going to reunify kid with parents unless the parents agree to deportation. Or Congress changes the law. Finally an illegal order from the bench is ignored.
No doubt some US citizens have become separated from their children by Child Protective Services due to less perilous conditions than these children of illegals have experienced. Seems like there is a huge politically correct disconnect here where the “rights” of illegals are elevated above those of citizens.
Let’s be compassionate. No more drop-in asylum cases. From now on, adjudicate asylum requests at the US embassies in Central American states. No more perilous journeys across Mexico. No more attempts to sneak across the border. If the embassy’s administrative judge in residence grants asylum after investigating, you go to America through the front door. If not, you don’t go at all. If you want to be a wise guy and try to sneak over, summary deportation and no more Mr. Nice Guy. Families stay together. Due process is duly processed. This sh!t ends.
For real!?, I’ve been waiting for it
2003 appointed and approved by senate..
another W Judge off script..?? or staying on script.. ?
You be the judge.
This is crucial. The whole point of the 1997 Flores Settlement was to reduce child trafficking. Adults kept claiming kids that werent theirs and using them as prostitutes, house slaves, and worse.
The better solution is just to let no one in at the border. Contrary to what the left wants us to believe, the United States is *not* obligated to let any person into the country. It is entirely at our discretion. And it should be done only when its in *our* interest.
The President has plenary power to decide who gets to enter the United States. If libs are so unhappy with that, they can work on changing the statute. Good luck with that.
President Trump is the first President to actually speak openly and truthfully about immigration.
They are not ENTITLED to anything.
The President has plenary power to determine who gets to enter the United States. Not some trial court judge.
That’s what I don’t get. SCOTUS just effin’ ruled on this, what? The day before. The man say’s who comes in. No if’s, ands, but’s about it.
Judges are insane.
Yes, that mistake was corrected up thread. If only we could edit typos.
Yes for real. The judge is ordering Trump to break the law basically. Trumps said no.
And, yet, I still fail to note any that fall w/in A1S8, least of all do not run afoul of any other Amendments (specifically 5th/13th)
BINGO
Where their request should be immediately and loudly rejected. We don't want criminals in our country and they have proven themselves to be criminals. Lifetime ban for them and their children.
A judge’s courtroom and calendar are very fragile things. All the DOJ has to so is charge everyone in the district and refuse plea deals. the court calendar collapses of its own weight. A federal judge cannot handle 10% of the cases on their docket if they go to trial. Then, not only does the judge fail to perform as required, he doesn’t have a minute free to pick up his shirts. Defense lawyers have done this in protest many times. But, never the prosecutors to my knowledge.
It works.
