Patriotic Americans honor their war dead. By the way all the Founding Fathers believed in the right of secession from the VOLUNTARY Union they joined. Read your history and do me a favor and don’t reply to this again, At least not to me,. I don’t feel like educating a grown man on American History 100.

Hah, Sons of the Confederate Veterans! I belong to an organization the Dem’s secretly hate even more: Sons of the American Revolution. And The American Legion (you know, that neo-Nazi organization in your local town with the American flag flying out front and possibly a tank or cannon on display.

Count me among the few who have no reservations about Trump. I worked in a construction union in the 70’s and 80’s in NYC. I saw how he got things done. When he burst onto the scene in the high stakes, high end and cut throat world of construction and real estate In NYC he blew everybody out of the water.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone joining the Sons of Confederate Veterans to honor their ancestors who fought and died in a terrible war.
Reno is an idiot on this subject. I have ancestors on both sides and I respect the sacrifices of all of them.
This includes a Union Great-Great-Grandfather of mine who died at Andersonville and a Confederate Great-Great-Grandfather (who was half Cherokee) who was executed by a Union home guard in Kentucky. They were all Americans.

You remind all of us that families were often divided by the Civil War. The Booth family (of John Wilkes Booth fame) was a completely divided Maryland family. Edwin for the North, JW for the South and one brother in uniform (I forget at the moment which side he was on). It tore families apart although most were not as fanatical as Booth. We should honor all our war dead.
